Did Bhai Mani Singh Jee compile Sri Dasam Granth ?

I have always the sakhi that Bhai Mani Singh collected the writings of Guru Gobind Singh Jee Maharaj and compiled the Dasam Granth. But here is the glimpse of the oldest available beer of Sri Dasam Granth from 1698 A.D.

yes this is true. bhai mani singh did compile sri dasam granth. but there are two older saroops before 1699 and these have most of the banis in the standarb saroop of sri dasam granth today, but these saroops were hidden by singhs in order to keep them safe from moghuls so bhai mani singh then started collected all smaller granths of guru jee and compiled them in to one big granth
