It seems as if the diamond cutting the diamond has brought the other one in one string;

ਜਲ ਤਰੰਗੁ ਅਵਲੋਇ ਸਲਿਲ ਸਮਾਇਆ।

Thanks veer ns jio. In the above translation, Gurdikhya is translated as getting initiated where as in the another post you just provided link to Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji's katha of Bhai Gurdas Ji Vaars and there Gurdikhya was mentioned as Guru Ji's Sikhya. Which one is correct?

ਗੁਰ ਦੀਖਿਆ ਲੈ ਸਿਖ ਸਿਖੁ ਸਦਾਇਆ।

The meaning of the above Pankiti seems to be:

ਗੁਰ ਦੀਖਿਆ ਰੂਪੀ ਸਿਖਿਆ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸਿਖ ਸਦਾਇਆ।

ਸਿਖ (without aunkad in the end) means Sikhiya and Gur Dikhiya means Naam Gurmantr that a Gursikhs gets at the time of initiation.

veer kirpakaro jeeo - a keera mokhoraa such as me hasn't got a clue at all who is correct - however i love all versions of this translations as stated above including bhai Kulbir Singh jee's.

Issue veere is bani is agad bodh -- of recent modern times there is more knitu pranto of what is correct and what isn't it delves further into judgement of an individual gursikh of his/her translation - then we look for fitting in--- list is endless.. -- however as pratan Gursikhs did more abhayasss of Gurbani and naam - i feel that is where we should be going in the end - we'll never find the correct translation - just my 2 cents.
