ਵਧੈ ਚੀਲ ਓਜਾੜ ਵਿਚਿ ਉਚੈ ਉਪਰਿ ਉਚੀ ਹੋਈ।
Pine tree grows in a forest and goes high and higher.
ਗੰਢੀ ਜਲਨਿ ਮੁਸਾਹਰੇ ਪਤ ਅਪਤ ਨ ਛੁਹੁਦਾ ਕੋਈ।
its nodes burn in torches and none touches its scorned leaves.
ਛਾਉ ਨ ਬਹਨਿ ਪੰਧਾਣੂਆ ਪਵੈ ਪਛਾਵਾ ਟਿਬੀ ਟੋਈ।
