Let's please stay focussed on the topic and not divert it by arguing with each other.

Definitely, it seems like Iqbal Singh is a very unrefined, uncultured and a person devoid of basic Gurmat. He likes to stay in news by making such outrageous comments. The tragedy is that many Sikhs who differ from AKJ because of some points in Gurmat keep quiet and some even actually applaud comments from this foollish man.

In the mid-nineties, it was Maan Singh Pehova who used his stage to openly slander AKJ and at that time time many supported his outbursts. We all know what reward he reaped for doing unnecessary and baseless Ninda of Gurmukhs. Such open Ninda of Panthik organizations (be it any Panthik organization) by individuals holding responsible positions in Panth, should not be tolerated. The points of difference can be discussed but with mutual respect and magnanimity..

Its clear these are the ramblings of an old baba who has absolutely no knowledge about anything. It's sad that he is given the stage to spew his propaganda to so much sangat, his facts are all mixed up, and he just makes stuff up as he goes. What can we do about this? He has bullied the AKJ families living in Patna for some time now regarding the RaagMala issue.
He even blocked annual AKJ Patna smagam from being held last Dec 2010 at the Patna Sahib historical Gurughars, forcing organizer to hold it at a private residence.
The condition he set to allow the smagam last year?
5 AKJ Singhs have to give him a written declaration that they accept SRi Guru Granth Sahib Jee with Raagmala. In other word, accept Raagmala and then you're free to hold your smagam.

His rants are a normal thing, but international Jatha sangat remains unaware of the problem he has given the AKJ families.

AKJ UK had an opportunity to directly confront Bhai Iqbal Singh on his views on the 14th May 2011 at Guru Nanak Dev Ji Gurdwara, Derby where jathedar giani Gurbachan Singh, jathedar Bhai Tarlochan Singh and Bhai jaswinder Singh (head granthi of Darbar Sahib) were also present in the room.

Daas would just like to understand why AKJ UK did not take the opportunity to address bhai Iqbal Singhs views in front of the other Jathedars?

The 5 jathedars wh ocame to my home town in the UK had 5 representatives with them - their visit was TOTAL waste of time and overseas SANGAT'S Money. They didn't speak on anything that is current " AAJ DA VISHA" Instead chose to speak on easy topics like naam simran, gurbani, etc. When they were prompted with question as you mention Manmandar Singh jee - their response from their reps was they are not hear to discuss and debate on those topics especially Khalistan topic- it was like a virus for them.!!! All they came was for photo shoots and flowers - madness.. The irony is commiteee boaks of the Gurdwaras bring them over for their own limelight !!! nothing else. It's like Baba Baljit Singh who was here not so long ago question why do you put haars and flowers out for these jathedars who are not even at agreement to the basic sikh maryada in between themselves???

On one side we have Iqbal Singh speaking against Bhai Sahib Bhai Randhir Singh and on other side Prof Darshan Singh is target AKJ and Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh. Singhs really need to get together and form a consensus on what is being uttered by these so called Jathedars. Please see these two links and listen to Amrit-4. Maha Punni Ji, maaf karna but even though Das don't agree with most of Prof. Darshan Singh Ji's recent views but in the above mentioned link (KhalsaNews.org) link, I kind of agree that in many Kirtan Programmes we do simran just with any tuk thus giving everyone a chance to speak about it. Also selling posters of Bhai Sahib ji is wrong and he was himself against his pictures or photos. So if we are doing wrong, then we should learn and improve on it. Jathedar Bhai Bakhsheesh Singh Ji's recent letter also strictly emphasizes on stopping this practice of doing Simran which is getting preveland these days. AKJ sikhs should try to follow the old golden principles and then anyone speaking against will be punished by GOD HIMSELF.

This article displays the agyaanata of the modern day philosophers. The way Ragis and sangat do the dhuni in AKJ samagams these days is a totally different topic but this article rejects the notion of Naam abhyaas completely. It is an article based on kitabi kach-gharad giaan. Bhai Randhir Singh ji challenged a number of similar writers of his time who used to consider Naam as some sort of lifestyle rather than the abhyaas of a particular word. 'Gurmat Naam Abhyaas Kamai' and 'Naam ate Naam Da Daata Satguru' are excellent read for someone who really wants to understand the meaning of Naam, Simran in Sikhi.

As for prof and his mandali these kind of philosophers have come and gone. Khalsa is there to stay forever and stay engaged in saas-giraas naam abhyaas as per the maryada given to the Khalsa by none other than Akal purakh in form of Guru Nanak Sahib. Its a pity that modern day leaders/parbandhaks of various organisations are more interested in expanding their support base to appear more in newspapers and TV for personal benefits rather than taking a strong stand for the Gurmat.

ਭਾਈ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਭਾਈ ਰਣਧੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ 20ਵੀ ਸਦੀ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਦਸਮੇ ਜਾਮੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਸਮੇਸ਼ ਜੀ ਵਲੋਂ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਪੰਥ ਵਿਚ ਆਏ ਨਿਗਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਠੱਲਣ ਲਈ ਪੰਥ ਦੀ ਝੋਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਇਆ ਇਕ ਚਮਕਦਾ ਦਮਕਦਾ ਰਤਨ ਹੈ। ਔਰ 20ਵੀ ਸਦੀ ਦੀ ਇਕੋ ਇਕ ਮਹਾਨ ਸ਼ਖਸ਼ੀਅਤ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਪੰਥ ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਇਕ ਤਬਕੇ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਲਕਿ ਓਸ ਵਖ਼ਤ ਦੇ ਚਾਰੋਂ ਤਖ਼ਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੰਥ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੁੱਟ ਅਤੇ ਸਵਾਰਥਹੀਨ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਣ ਬਖਸ਼ਿਆਂ। ਐਸੀ ਸ਼ਖਸ਼ੀਅਤ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਗੋਡਣੀਆਂ ਲਗਵਾ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ, ਪੰਥ ਵਿਚਲੇ ਨਾਸਤਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਨਾਤਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਰਹਿਤ ਰਹਿਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਟੁੱਟ ਕਮਾਈਆਂ ਸਦਕਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੁਕਾਨਦਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਠੱਲ ਪਾਈ ਤਾਂ ਓਥੇ ਅੱਜ ਇਹ ਕੋਈ ਹੈਰਾਨੀ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਪੰਥਕ ਕਹਾਉਂਦੇ ਠੇਕੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੁਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਔਲਾਦਾਂ ਭਾਈ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੋਈ ਅਵਾ ਤਬਾ ਨਾ ਬੋਲਣ। ਭਾਈ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵੇਲੇ ਵੀ ਕੂੜ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਸਨ ਅੱਜ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੁਰਪੁਰੀ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ 50 ਬਾਅਦ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਲੋਗ ਬੋਲ ਕਬੋਲ ਬੋਲ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਆਉ ਆਪਾਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਮਗਰ ਲੱਗ ਕੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਤੈਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਿਮਰ ਭਾਉ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਛਡੀਏ। ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨਿੰਦਕਾ ਦੀ ਅਕਾਲਪੁਰਖ ਵਲੋਂ ਹੀ ਡਿਊਟੀ ਲੱਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ। ਆਪ ਜੀ ਆਖੋਗੇ ਕਿ ਭਲਾ ਕੂੜ ਬੋਲ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਹ ਕਿਸਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਆਉ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਵੀ ਆਪਾਂ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਦੀ ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਕਰੀਏ। ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਬਾਣੀ ਹੇਠ ਦਰਜ਼ ਅਨਮੋਲ ਬਚਨ ਹਨ ਕਿ:

ਗਉੜੀ ॥
ਨਿੰਦਉ ਨਿੰਦਉ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਲੋਗੁ ਨਿੰਦਉ ॥
ਨਿੰਦਾ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਖਰੀ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥

ਇਹਨਾਂ ਉਪਰਲੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਜਨ ਦੇ ਓਸ ਗੁਣ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਆਖੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਵੀ ਬੜੀ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਪੁੱਛੀਏ ਕਿਉਂ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ:

ਨਿੰਦਾ ਬਾਪੁ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਮਹਤਾਰੀ ॥1॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਵਾਹ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਪ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਵੇਖੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਤਾਂ ਬੈਕੁੰਠ ਜਾ ਅਪੜੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ:

ਨਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਇ ਤ ਬੈਕੁੰਠਿ ਜਾਈਐ ॥
ਨਾਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਮਨਹਿ ਬਸਾਈਐ ॥
ਰਿਦੈ ਸੁਧ ਜਉ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਇ ॥

ਜਦੋਂ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਜਪਣ ਹੋਰ ਵਧਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਰੀਆ ਬਣ ਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਹੈ। ਆਹਾ! ਦਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੇਠਲੀ ਪੰਕਤੀ ਬਣੀ ਖਿੱਚ ਪਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ:

ਹਮਰੇ ਕਪਰੇ ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ਧੋਇ ॥1॥

ਦਾਸ ਇਥੇ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਗੁਰੇਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਵੀ ਆਪਜੀ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਇਕਬਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਸਿਲਸਿਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਜਦੋਂ ਸਿੰਘ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਦੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਊਯਾਰਕ ਦੇ ਇਕ ਗੁਰੂਦੁਆਰਾ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਗਏ ਤਾਂ ਓਥੇ ਤਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਓਥੋਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਖੂਬ ਕਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਵੀਡੀਉ ਵੇਖੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਈਰਖਾ ਵਸ ਇਕ ਸਿੱਖਸੰਗਤ ਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੈਬ ਸਾਈਟ ਤੇ ਦਾਸ ਦੀ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ। ਕਈ ਸਿੰਘਾ ਨੇ ਈ ਮੇਲਾਂ ਕਰ ਫੋਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਦਾਸ ਦੀ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਇਕ ਵੀਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਲਾਹ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਓਸ ਵੈੱਬ ਸਾਈਟ ਦੇ ਮਾਡਰੇਟਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੋ ਕਿ ਦਾਸ ਦੀ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਪਰ ਦਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਉਪਰਲੀ ਤੁਕ ਕਿ “ਹਮਰੇ ਕਪਰੇ ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ਧੋਇ ॥1॥” ਆਪਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਲੋੜ ਪਈ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਤਾਂ ਦਾਸ ਦੇ ਕਪੜੇ ਰੱਜ ਰੱਜ ਧੋਤੇ। ਹੁਣ ਤਾਂ ਆਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਯਾਦ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ:

ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰੈ ਸੁ ਹਮਰਾ ਮੀਤੁ ॥
ਨਿੰਦਕ ਮਾਹਿ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਚੀਤੁ ॥
ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ਸੋ ਜੋ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਰੈ ॥
ਹਮਰਾ ਜੀਵਨੁ ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ਲੋਰੈ ॥2॥

ਅਤੇ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਸੁਨਣ ਦੀ ਹੁਣ ਆਦਤ ਬਣ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਹੀ ਆਖਦੇ ਨੇ:

ਨਿੰਦਾ ਹਮਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥
ਨਿੰਦਾ ਹਮਰਾ ਕਰੈ ਉਧਾਰੁ ॥

ਬਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਬਹੁੜੀ ਕਰਨ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਗੁਰਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪਾਰ ਕਰਵਾ ਲੈਣ ਅਤੇ ਇਹੋ ਹੀ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਕੇਸਾਂ ਸੁਆਸਾਂ ਸੰਗ ਨਿਭ ਜਾਏ ਅਤੇ ਕਬੀਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਇਨ ਬਿਨ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿਚ ਢਲ ਜਾਣ:

ਸੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖੋ ਇਕ ਪਾਸੇ ਅਤਿ ਪੱਤਿਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਪੱਤਿਤ ਬੰਦਾ ਇਕਬਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਦੀ ਡਿਊਟੀ ਸੰਭਾਲੀ ਖੜਾ ਹੈ ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਪੰਥ ਚੋਂ ਛੇਕਿਆ ਕਹਿ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ “ਤਾਏ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਚੱਲੀ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਰਹਾ ਇਕੱਲੀ” ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਹੁਣ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਰਾਹੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਦੀ ਡਿਊਟੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤਾ ਫਿਕਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਲੱਡੂ ਨੇ ਨਾਲੇ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਵੀ ਤਾਂ ਕਹਿ ਗਏ ਕਿ “ਅੰਨਾ ਕੀ ਭਾਲੇ ਦੋ ਅੱਖਾ” ਜੱਥੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਆਪ ਤਾਂ ਕੁਝ ਦਸਦੇ ਨੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਕਿ ਅਖੰਡ ਕੀਰਤਨੀ ਜੱਥਾ ਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੈਅ ਵੀ ਕੋਈ ਪੰਥ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ। ਸੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਦੋ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਭੇਜੇ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ। ਨਿੰਦਕ ਭੀ ਕੋਈ ਛੋਟੇ ਦਰਜ਼ੇ ਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਾਏ ਬਲਕਿ ਅਖੌਤੀ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਨੇ। ਵੇਹਦੇਂ ਜਾਉ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਕੀ ਕਲਾ ਵਰਤਾਂਉਂਦਾ:

That's a good point actually, why didnt AKJ uk talk with Bhai Iqbal singh and sort out the issues then and there?

The whole program is about Baba Sri Chand jee and this fool is talking about AKJ and Bhai Randhir Singh Jee. I think it is obvious what is going on. The two worthless fatsos of the Panth: Darshan Raagi and Masand Iqbal Singh are both targeting AKJ and Panthic asools because currently this is one of the few Sikh organizations that have not been penetrated by the GOI. So the AKJ is a prime target for these Sarkari Sikhs.

There will always be negative forces - without them the positve cannot grow -- but we need to grow not just talk of these individuals over and over again and again. Dwelling and starting another thread on such individuals is no answer to anything or is it??

I still very vividly remember when Jathedar Iqbal Singh visited UK in May of this year. Although many Gursikhs from there, the UK, tried talking him into topics such as Khalistan and rights for the Sikhs as a whole. I was more then surprised to see none of these self-proclaimed Jathedaars or leaders of the Panth not ready to discuss these topics. I really do wish and hope that AKJ India confront Bhai Iqbal Singh and has one-to-one talk with him. Guru Rakha.

Sangat jee don't you think it's time to have our own western Jathedaars - main five to be respected by All - either from one country or five representing the whole western hemisphere!???-- until such time that Jathedars in India are of the calibre for example the late shaeed Gurdev Singh Kaunkee -- ??
