In sikhism, is it compulsory to marry?

Waheguru jio, sometimes i feel like i'm not able to keep a girl happy, so i think of living alone instead of ruining someone's life.
Will it be okay if i refuse every time my parents ask me to marry?, i'm very puzzled,
