Performing service to the Guru, you shall go home with the profit.

ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਨਿਰਬਾਣੁ ਸਬਦਿ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ॥੭॥
Through the Word of the Guru's Bani, and the Shabad, the Word of God, the state of Nirvaanaa is attained. ||7||

ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦਸੀ ਹੋਈ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾ ਕੇ ਇਲਾਹੀ ਲਾਹਾ ਖੱਟ ਕੇ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਿਜ ਘਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਰਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਰੂਪੀ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਨਿਰਬਾਣ ਪਦ ਪਛਾਣ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Buddhism talks about Nirvana which according to their beliefs means such state of mind where desires are totally removed and even thoughts are totally deleted. Such state of mind which has a vacuum of thoughts and desires is considered to be Nirvana. Gurmat on the other hand makes it clear that only such person who is totally intoxicated with Naam has attained Nirvana - ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤਾ ਸੋਈ ਨਿਰਬਾਣੁ ॥2॥ Nirbaan is attained through Gurbani and Naam as per Gurmat.
