Is Prof. Darshsn Singh Raagi really excommunicated?

Posted by JASJIT SINGH
Hunger Strike Morcha started by Bhai Gurbakhash Singh jee brought Panth together on one platform. It was long due that Panthic Ekta was visible on one stage. Whereas there is some turn around in this Morcha lately, but the biggest surprise to all is seeing the news that a recent excommunicated person is allowed to address the Khalsa Nation in this Morcha. The Morcha which was officially supported by Sri Akaal Takhat Sahib on December 4th, 2013 by sending Khalsa march to Morcha palace, seems like no longer hold the edict of excommunication now.

Sanagat abroad is very surprised to see that Prof. Darshann Singh is now allowed to speak on this Panthic stage. It appears representatives of all the Panthic Jathaybania listened him without any hesitation. Not to mention following personalities can be seen in this video listening Prof Darshan Singh:

Bhai Mohkam Singh of Taksaal
Bhai (Baba) Baljit Singh Daduwaal
Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala of Taksaal
Representative of Sant Samaj and Nihung Dals
Representatives of Various Sikh Political parties like Simranjit Singh Maan, Harpaal Singh Cheema and others.

SHOULD SANAGT LIVING ABORAD CONSIDER HIM NO LONGER EXCOMMUNICATED? Who CAN clarify this stance?

I think maybe this could mean that for religious purposes Sikhs should not listen to him but on the political level, even a Hindu, Muslim, Christian Atheist and a heretic person can join hands with the Sikhs if the political goal is the same. Maybe that is why no one at the hunger strike had any objections to him speaking.

Ragi Darshan Singh was excommunicated for propagating against bani of Dasam pita.
He has gone a step further by forming an organization " Guru Granth Da Khalsa panth".
That means , and he is on record, that he does no more recognizes status of Guru Panth.
Guru Panth is an institution given by Guru Gobind singh ji wherein Panj Piaras initiate a
seeker by Amrit sanchar.

He is very much an excommunicated person. Damandeep Singh khalsa who is on hunger
strike is an educated young man both in academics and Sikh ehtos. He is a regular participant
on face book and is a die hard critic of Darshan singh Ragi for his blasphemic utterances against
Guru Gobind singh ji. Some organizations like Dal khalsa are Ragi supporters. It is quite possible
they have taken him there. Gurtej Singh IAS, a die hard kala afghana spokesman, was also with him.

Concerns of Gursikhs have been conveyed to singhs about presenced of such tainted persons
anong them.

This is something about human rights for all, it is not exclusive to just Sikh prisoners. It is not a religious problem, it is a human rights problem.

Also it is not just Darshan Ragi speaking, there is 'Tiger' Jatha UK and other missionary groups/individuals as well.

From the above video, did he say anything wrong? If he did, please point it out.

Also, is he any worse than the so-called Jathedars who just 1 day ago put 'Siropa' on Sukhbir Badal and his wife in a secret meeting in Harmandir Sahib complex?

This is not a time to burn bridges.

This is what I have been saying all along. If Darshan Ragi + Missionaries can be peacefully and progressively in the same room as Dhadrianvaley, some of Taksal, some of AKJ, some of Sant Samaj....

then what is the problem with Dhumma+Associates, Sant Samaj+Associates, Nanaksar+Associates and Nihang Singhs+Associates from not being in the same room with everyone else? That is the REAL question which some people on this forum like to label as "pointing fingers", but in reality, it is the TRUTH.

And you are right to question whether Darshan Ragi is REALLY excommunicated or not, because around the world he has been regularly doing programs for the past couple of years. The so-called excommunication hasn't held him or his associates back at all.

But let's be honest...

what can we expect when we have who we have as 'Jathedars' for the past many years issuing 'Hukamnamas', 'excommunications', and worst of all.. honorary titles and honoring ceremonies for people like Badal?!

I wholeheartedly support stand of Gursikhs and they have every write to protest against high handedness
of state.State should not have two rules , one for sikhs and the other for non sikhs. Badal is dead wrong
on this issue as he sees his interests only.

Darshan singh raagi was excommunicated for blasphemic utterances against bani and personality of Guru
sahib.

Sikhs are ordained not to intermingle with an excommunicated person. Two wrongs do not make one right.

He has floated an organization "Guru Granth da khalsa panth." The aim of this organization is to do away
three banis of Dasam granth sahib that are read in creation of khalsa. He started with doubting some sections
of Dasam bani and now he is rejecting all and instigating sikhs to change procedure of amrit sanchar.

If we go through all videos of khalsa da virsa seminar we will find his obnoxious views being quoted in thises videos.
This is just one video.Main purpose of this seminar was to ward off attack on amrit sanchar.

Dasam Granth issue is not the only issue in the Khalsa Panth.

Some people like to throw that issue into every single topic and start smear campaign against those who are trying to do other things within the Sikh-sphere.

I don't get why the Dasam Granth issue is being dragged into here.

The bigger issue is where is Dhumma-DDT, Nanaksar, Nihangs and most of Sant Samaj....they are no where to be seen and neither have they offered any support whatsoever. In this situation, they are even worse than Darshan Ragi+Associates.

Of course issue here is presence of Darshan singh Ragi at the gathering. He is an excommunicated person
and sikhs are not supposed to intermingle with an excommunicated person.

His background as to why he was excommunicated will come in as he keeps on shifting his stand.

Both singhs , Gurbax singh and Damandeep singh khalsa , are from Damdami taksal.

It seems you have missed presence of these panthic organization there. See below
