In the following Tukhs it says that Jamms grab you by the hair.

(SGGSJ-ang 906)

What happens if a person does not have hair or is hairless? how would the Jamms grab a bald person when they don't even have hair?

In the following verses

Professor Sahib SIngh gives the following translation.

Noticed how Professor Sahib SIngh Ji translates the bold verses as At the time when Jamkaal grabs you by your head.
The word hair has been replaced by the head.

In think in the verses

the word hair ( ਝੋਟ) has been used for poetic reasons.

In the third pangti you provided

ThIn this pangti the word kes is used. We all knnow Kes is uncut hair. Not everyone who goes to hell has uncut hair. So we can conclude these words have been used for poetic reasons and are not meant to be taken as literal description on how Jamkaal grabs the non-believers. If they do have hair perhaps they are grabbed by the hair if not then perhaps by the head. Who knows? Lets just hope we never get to know. Waaheguru....

Some Manmukhs might think that it is good that they cut their hair because the Jam-doots cannot grab them by their hair.

Giani Sant Singh Maskeen jee explained that meaning of these references in Gurbani. Giani jee explained that we are made up of two bodies.
1. Asthool Sareer = physical body (i.e. flesh and bones)
2. Sookam Sareer = invisible body (spiritual body)

Jamdoots do not grab the physical body. The physical body remains and decomposes. The Jamdoots grab the Sookam Sareer, so any issue of having or not having physical Kesh is irrelevant.

Very well said Bhai Manvir Singh jee.

Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh jee in his book Jail Chithiaan has written that some non-believers argue that the body perishes right here in this world, then who gets punished in the next world for all the sins done in this world. They say that the mind does not feel pain without the body. Bhai Sahib has written that such people are so ignorant. It is the Sooksham Sareer (astral body) that lives in this Asthool Sareer (physical body), that gets punished.

Even though the Asthool Sareer may not have hair but the Sooksham Sareer has the hair and that is what Jamdoots pull. They grab the Jeev by its hair and pull it out of this body. They don't pull the hair of the physical body but that of the astral body.

Thanks to the Sangat who has replied. I now understand this more clearly. Is a Ghost(bhoot pret) the same as Suksham sareer or is the Ghost given a different Sareer since being a Bhoot is also counted as a Jooni?

Vaheguroojeekaakhalsaa
Vaheguroojeekeefathehh

A ghost is a jooni, part of the 84 lakh cycle.

Sookham Shareer is our soul, our roop out of this world, the occupant of this body, this body is not us, this body is a cloth for our soul, just like a chola is cloth for our body.

Actually Sookhsham sareer is not our soul, but made up of Atma, Mann (mind), Chit, Budhi etc. Even though the Sooksham Sareer is more Lateef (micro, fine) than the Asthool (physical) Sareer, still it contains some elements or impurities related to Maya.

Khalsa Ji

Our physical sareer is made up of 5 tat but our sooksham sareer is made up of 17 tat. The sooksham sareer has kes irrelevant of whether one slaughters their physical kes.
