Sree Guru Hargobind Sahib jee Maharaj, during his stay at Daroli Bhai kee, one day went for Horse riding in nearby Jungles. As Satguru Jee and Jatha of Sikhs reached the jungle, there came a heavy sound, like of a trumpet. The sound was coming from bushes nearby, and as Sikhs moved forward to see what was making noise, they saw a large python lying in bushes and groaning with pain. Sree Guroo Sahib jee rode his horse towards the big snake and ordered a Sikh to kill it and relieve it of its pain. A Sikh moved forward and killed the snake, and as he died, Guroo Sahib jee smiled. The Gursikhs asked Guroo Sahib jee, from your smile, we can understand that there is a game of higher realms which has been played here, which we lowly jeevs don’t understand. Please enlighten us about what has happened.

Sree Guru Hargobind Sahib jee Maharaj smiled and said, Beloved Gursikho, this snake was a human in previous birth and pretended to be a holy man, a Sant, and looted hundreds of thousands of people of their money, their honour and their faith in his previous life. He was not a Satguru or Saint, but with help of Ridhi-Sidhi accumulated with power of Jap-tap, he pretended to be one. But he couldn’t liberate himself or his disciples and due to his greed of money, he came back in form of a Snake. The Sikhs asked Saacheh Paatshaaha jeeo , if he couldn’t liberate himself and his disciples, where are his disciples? Sree Guroo Sahib jee asked a Sikh to turn snake’s body upside down with his spear and Sikh did same. There were thousands of ants and worms who were eating up snake’s body, causing him pain. Sree Guroo Sahib jee said ‘ these ants and worms are the disciples of this fake guru who have come back in form of these worms to extract what he had looted from them in previous life’.

These pangteeaa come to mind during this present time on Pakhandis on Rise

Kabeer, what can the True Guru do, when His Sikhs are at fault?
The blind do not take in any of His Teachings; it is as useless as blowing into bamboo.

Those dealers who abandon their Lord and Master and attach themselves to another, are drowned.
The True Guru is the boat, but few are those who realize this.

I don't think Guru Sahib asked a Sikh to kill the python. What happened was that they saw a huge snake approaching Guru Sahib. A Sikh moved forward to stop the snake from coming closer to Guru Sahib. Guru Sahib stopped the Sikh from doing so. The snake came near Guru Sahib and Guru Sahib touched his body or head with His Charan Kamal. The snake died on the spot. Guru Sahib smiled and when Gursikhs asked Guru Sahib about this Kautak, Guru Sahib enabled the Rooh of the Serpent who was a Pandit in the previous life, to become visible to all Gursikhs. Then this Pandit related his tale of how he was a fake guru in his previous life.
