THe Cat and the Mouse

Just as the Cat was ready to devour the head of the Mouse,
the Mouse cried wait? Where is Baba Nanaks House!
Upon this cry, the Cat released the mouse from his mouth.

Listening to his master the cat disappeared
, and then a celestial Singh appeared.
He humbly said would you like to know find Baba Nanaks celestial fort.
The mouse cried yes I will surrender to him for complete support.

Well done! Khalsa Ji replied. You will be given the human gift as a prize.
Make sure you get Amit in your kes, mouth and eyes.
The mouse replied I will, this will be my first task.
But wait I have one more question to ask?

Where is Sri Guru Nanak Sahib Jis House.
Khalsa Ji replied, now listen carefully mouse.

Khalsa Ji explained before you enter in Guru Nanak Sahib Ji house you must find the outside door.
The mouse replied " please tell me where this outside door is so I can meet my Lord"

Khalsa Ji replied, the outside door are the kes and Panj Kakkars.
With them you can transcend above the heavenly stars.
Khalsa Ji further explained the Gurus image is his outside door
without this outside door you will remain lost and eventually fall flat on the floor.
The Gurus inside home can only be gained through the outside door
upon entering the outside get the Naam and ask for more and more....

The mouse interrupted and said wait Im a female mouse why do I need to wear that hat.
Upon his remarks about the " hat" he was snatched by the deadly cat.

Khalsa Ji told the cat to leave, and said look mouse this is not a hat its the Gurus crown
I told you before without it you will fall down.

The mouse then said why is the cat afraid of you, seeing you he begins to tremble
Khalsa Ji replied , listen mouse the crown given by the Guru JI is royal symbol
The cat does not dare touch those whom follow the GUrus preamble( rehat)

The mouse then said I have seen people with the Gurus Symbol who eat meat and drink
Khalsa Ji said these people do not recite the GUrus word and think
These people do not bear the symbol in the world you must go too
the mouse replied then how will I recognize those who carry the Gurus Symbol and are True?

Khalsa Ji said upon meeting the senior residents of Sri Guru Nanak Sahib Jis home
you will feel like you are not alone
You will feel Sri Baba Nanaks presence
You will deeply feel the Goldly essence
Your winter heart will feel like warm spring
Inside your heart Gods praises you will sing.
Those Senior Singhs are the Gurus outside door
wherever they walk wipe that floor.

In their company the holy naam is praised
thus such a place can turn the dark night into a bright day
You must go now and remember the place you go is not a permanent stay
the Gurmukh saints will help you meditate night and day

The mouse said do you mean to tell me that Naam is the key to enter the Inside,
I dont need a professional granthi as a spiritual guide?
Khalsa Ji replied in the SIkh Dharam there is no mediator but the Gurus holy word
The holy word exist in those who wear the holy turban, comb,Kashera,Karah and sword.
But dont assume that ever Sikhs has reached the most exalted state
remember that everyone must start from somewhere in finding the Gurus hidden Gate.

So destroy your ego turn your outer body into the Gurus outside door,
meditating on the Naam ask for more and more.

In the Gurus house his gifts never run short
The panj doot can not phase the Gurus fort.

Upon reaching the Gurus gate the cat would no longer attack
Upon reaching the Gurus gate, the mouse never returned back

part 2

How the mouse got Mukhti ( liberation)

Upon entering this world, the mouse now as a Human was in a complete twirl.
As a baby boy he wanted every toy, as a teenager he wanted every girl.

But before he would completely transgress from the path
he met the Saints whom enrolled him in the enlightened class ( Sikhi)

Receiving his Education from the divine Guru- saint,
one thought without WaaheGuru he would just feint.

One thought without WaaheGuru his body became weak
One thought without WaaheGuru he could not eat
In the early morning, divine Gurbani he would repeat,
nothing else would he speak only then would he eat

In the evening he would recite the rehras prayer
all previous sins were destroyed layer by layer

After Reciting rehras he would then eat
Without Kirtan Sohia at night he could not sleep

Without Kirtan Sohila the mind was full of so much Drama
This wordly drama would not end without the recitation of Kirtan Sohila

Truly blessed and blissful was his days
By following his Guru , 21 generations were saved

He eventually passed away after turning physically Old
he then entered the house of pure Gold

By serving the Guru night and day
he finally made his way

Making his way to Sri Guru Nanak Sahibs House
He was no longer a mouse

He became a Lion bold and brave
He to would then learn how to save.

WHen the cat decided to destroy the crying soul
he to would remind the mouse of the ultimate Goal.

- Dedicated to all my brothers and sisters who live for ever in Guru Sahibs house.
May my head always be under their holy feet.

This is really cool

"Khalsa Ji said upon meeting the senior residents of Sri Guru Nanak Sahib Jis home
you will feel like you are not alone
You will feel Sri Baba Nanaks presence
You will deeply feel the Goldly essence
Your winter heart will feel like warm spring
Inside your heart Gods praises you will sing.
Those Senior Singhs are the Gurus outside door
wherever they walk wipe that floor."

^I particularly like this verse =)
(though maybe its silly it, but I would prefer it if "Singhs" was replaced by "Sikhs")

Bhenji to me Singh and Gursikh mean the same thing. Singh refers to somebody who has taken Amrit.

In the following article Bhai Randhir Singh Ji uses the word Singh to refer to both female and male Gursikh. Obviously he is not saying only Singhs can do langar seva.
