32nd pauri of Jap Ji Sahib --- is it mentioning about swas swas simran ?

Posted by harinder_singh
In the 32nd paurri of Sri Jap Ji Sahib, Guru Sahib has used the word ' gerra '.

ਲਖੁ ਲਖੁ ਗੇੜਾ ਆਖੀਅਹਿ ਏਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਗਦੀਸ ॥
lakh lakh gaerraa aakheeahi eaek naam jagadhees ||
I would repeat, hundreds of thousands of times, the Name of the One, the Lord of the Universe.

Gerra means round and gerra of tongue means movement of tongue from the roof of the mouth, to the bottom and back to the top. Is this tukk indicating about swas swas naam abhiyaas -- wahegurrrruuu.

ਗੇੜਾ means circles or rounds of Naam. Bhai Sahib has interpreted this pankiti as repeating again and again Naam of one Jagdeesh Vaheguru.

It seems like this pankiti is talking of that spiritual state where the Gurmukh gets millions of tongues and repeats Naam through all these tongues. This Avastha is explained in the pankiti:

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਰੋਮਿ ਰੋਮਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਵੈ ॥
(Gurmukhs meditates on Naam through his each hair)
