our diet varies widely.

morning- toasted bread, or some sweet bread (pumpkin, banana. raisin, etc), or daal-wali roti, and milk.

afternoon- whatever is leftover from the night before, or parontha.

evening- could be anything... daal/sabji, italian, mexican, chinese, thai, or american food.

as long as it's veg and home-made, we're always willing to try new things. smiling smiley

Veer Sukhdeep Singh jeeo, Paronthay are the best, especially Aaloo walay Paronthay with yogurt. But I think the ultimate dish in this world is Saag with Makkee dee Roti.

What ever Dall or Sabzi is left over from the last night (or spinach or onion or potato) goes to the parshada to make it like Parontha and Garam Jall
Parshada with Sabzi and Dahi.

I am not bibeki, but most of my diet is home stuff anyway, as I don't eat from restaurants. But perhaps I am a little bit more angrez than everyone else haha.

Morning- Besan Roti/ Missi roti with yogurt(with seasoning in the yogurt if your greedy like me!), and lots of butter grinning smiley (This has got to be the meat meal EVER!)

Lunch- Baked potato, cheese on top. Or if outside a sandwich with salad, cucumber, hummous and/or tofu.

Dinner- Sabji/daal roti and yogurt.

One thing I have to say to sangat is, recently I found out I have serious deficiencies in calcium and iron, which have been causing me health problems. Thats why now I have greatly increased how much yogurt and milk I have (before I used to eat very little). So all sangat please keep a note that you are having enough and if you find out you have any health problems which might be linked to your food, have a blood test for any deficiencies quick, as I left it a really long time in which it got worse.

uttam singh veerji, many studies have shown that cooking in sarabloh or cast iron will greatly increase your iron absorption. so please consider cooking in iron vessels for health benefits. you never know, there may be spiritual benefits as well. smiling smiley
