Last Moments of a Shaheed Singh

Posted by Dhaasan Das
Death in the battle, swords stabbing through
Living for the moment, living for what’s true
Sacrifice and honour, blood dripping too
Running out of breath, face turning blue
Last seconds left, I hear my heart beat
I focus my attention on Guru and His feet
As my body feels light, my mind becomes one
All the pain I had felt within a sudden had gone
Then Anand Shabad, music to my ears
My eyes wide open rolling with tears
Then I see You, we become one
The body I had left in dust has it gone.

Poem Corrected:

I feel embarrassed at those comments and I can promise you that this poem is far from anywhere even remotely near similar it cant be.I am new to the fold, only being blessed with Amrit only a few weeks ago so I haven't ever had a chance to read this bani as of yet but I am definitely intrigued to read the bani and translations asap now. Ironic thing is, is that i wrote this several months ago before taking Amrit while working. Who knows maybe I read this bani in my past life and that was the influence behind the poem only Waheguru and Guru Sahib know.
