Bhai Pinderpal Singh jee in his katha said that its not appropriate to keep kirtan as mobile ring tone since when some one call the person, the kirtan tuk started but before the tuk completed, the recipient pic up the call resulting incomplete kirtan tuk.

Stopping gurbani in between seems not appropriate, hence bhai sahib jee advised not to keep kirtan ring tone on the mobile.
