I have seen doing jaap of Rakhia de shabad in Taksali Gutkas is a great stress(and dukh) reliever. Keep doing Jaap of it and with full concentration forgetting the outside world. Try to also understand the meaning of the tukhs when reading those shabads. Take full refuge in the Guru when doing Jaap of a shabad or simran. You need to beleive the Guru is the truth, the Guru is your refuge, the Gby rsingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Maha Paapi Jee, many many thanks for posting this. I have been searching all over for this great post.by rsingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Too bad. It was such an inspiring post. If you ever get a chance please do post on similar tukhs. Such posts really inspire one to do Naam Simran.by rsingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I think the original post was on the Tapoban.org. If Kulbir Singh Jee or anyone else has that post still available please post it. I need to show someone that post so they can be inspired to do simran.by rsingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I remember some years ago Kulbir Singh Jee wrote a very good post about a Tukh by Bhagat Kabir Jee I think it was "lootna hai toh loot" or something like this(sorry if I made a mistake). I can't seem to find that post. Does anyone have a link to that post or can someone post it here, it was a very good post.by rsingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

This is horrible. You're right, she was probably suffering from some mental problem but in our community we automatically assume a ghostly possession. And who is Gugga Peer?by rsingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
No doubt this is a racist attack. And doesn't that Bazurg have sons? Was he living alone. At old age it is a son's duty to take care of and protect his father. Has his son done anything since his father was attacked? If my neighbor had attacked my father like this, I would literally break every bone in my neighbor's body. Strength and safety lies in numbers. Sikhs in the west should try to movby rsingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Sukhdeep Singh Jee please make me understand this tukh. What is it saying? I can understand the word for word meaning but I am a little confused. This is just a guess but is it saying Do Dhyaan on Vaheguru in your mann, the same Vaheguru whoseby rsingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

I don't think the current problem in the Panth is that people are sitting quietly at the corner of their room doing too much Naam Simran. In fact, the opposite is the problem. How many Amritdharis keep Amritvela? barely any(I confess even I miss my Amitvela half the time like I did today). Many Amritdharis even miss their Nitnem. As always good writeup by Bijla Singh Jee. My understanding of ਅਨੇਕ ਹੈਂ। ਫਿਰ ਏਕ ਹੈਂ। means although He (exists in all his creation through his Sargun form) he is ਅਨੇਕ yet He is still ਏਕ/One. All of creation is in Him and He exists in all of creation.by rsingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

I think practicing any religion other than Islam is illegal there. Some places a non Muslim cannot even go. Feel sorry for your relative that he has to spend an entire year there. His best option is to just visit UAE every week to do darshan of the Gurdwara there.by rsingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

I was reading Gurmat Naam Abhiyaas Kamaee of Bhai Randhir Singh Jee. He writes in it that when one does Naam Jaap, they get Greebi. What is Greebi? Does greebi mean poverty? how is that a good thing? or does Greebi mean something else?by rsingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Those are some good ways to make people attracted to Sikhi. Make yourself into such an ideal Gursikh that non Sikhs will want to be like you. But what other methods can we employ. How do Muslims do their Da'wa? or how is it that so many Americans are turning to Buddhism? Why arent we that successful even though Gurmat is the greatest spiritual path of all. I have heard that of the 5 chors, hankaar is the hardest one to beat. While an Abhyaasee can over come Kaam Krodh Lobh Moh, but Hankaar is the last one to defeat because some times in the even an experienced Abhyasee can do Hankaar of his Kamaee if not anything else. After reading this, one can't ignore the fact of what a HUGE sacrifice Bhai Randhir Singh Jee made. He went to jail when his children were so small. Since the recent shooting it is fair to say that Sikhi to still very unknown. One of the reasons for this is that we have failed to do parchaar to non Sikhs because we are no longer interested in doing parchar. I think the best way to let the world know who we are is to spread the message of Gurmat. We have precedents in our history where parchar was given top priority. Thanks for sharing this Kulbir Singh Jee. Great letter. Where did you get this letter from? Sometimes I feel really sad that in this modern age of phones and emails the art of writing letters is lost. Just until the early 90s it was common for people to write letters to each other. But those good old times are now gone. Thank God we did not have phones and emails during the times of Bhai Randhby rsingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Sukhdeep Singh Jee, I don't think you understood what I was trying to say here. I'm not denying that racism or bigotry did not exist before 9/11 and the recession. What I meant was that racism before 9/11 and recession was more subtle and hidden. The racists amongst the western people did not openly show their racism because being labelled racist or bigot held a very negative tag attached to it.by rsingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
