It probably tasted "tangy" because of the rust. Sarbloh bhanday rust quickly, especially when you keep it in Sarbloh for a long time. The taste changes too. I don't really remember the first time I ate in Sarbloh, since it was so long ago! I agree with Binodh.Singh though, it might just be you body adjusting to it.by kaurs4 - Gurmat Discussion Forum

I don't think that the Jatha should have a logo. As mentioned before, this will make others think that a division has been made. This comes back to the point of Ekta. The panth should be ONE as a whole, not divided into different "groups." Like sk bhenji mentioned, it's only going to end up on t-shirts, adding to the "youth groups" out there already.by kaurs4 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Pasri Ath Ghani, Please re-read how I worded it. I did not say that people are "forcing others to memorize shabads". The quotations were only around "forcing", and that makes a big difference; the meaning is different itself. By not keeping a Poothi, it is an act of "forcing" one to memorize shabads. No, this is not a bad thing, I never did once say that. What I've been saying all along is thaby kaurs4 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I know it's good to memorize Paath, so therefore you don't need a laptop, iPhone, etc. to do you Paath. My original question was whether putting Gurbani on laptop, iPhone, etc., is appropriate according to Gurmat. Since a cell phone, laptop cannot be "sucha" then how can be put Gurbani on such devices? This question has been answered, and I see that different people have different views on thiby kaurs4 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Jaskirat Singh, I agree with you. I personally think a Poothi is better than having a laptop. What is starting to irritate me is, that some - because of their own beliefs - think that they should "force" people to memorize shabads, and therefore don't put a Pothi beside the vaja, let alone on the vaja. I don't believe that this is right. Some shabads are pretty lengthy, and sometimes some worby kaurs4 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
People at the grocery store don't open the bag, and touch the atta itself. It's the bag they touch. That's why you need to wash the bag before you store it away, and use it. The atta itself cannot be washed (obviously!), but I don't consider it jootha either, since it wasn't touched. If you get it from a store like Bulk Barn, where everything is openly sold, then you can call the atta jootha, bby kaurs4 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Being a bystander isn't also the right thing. Thought you may have to face consequences for a period of time, in the end, putting yourself into the victims shoes helps to better understand exactly what you should do. Besides, if someone is doing this, and what they're saying is false, then I think that you should definitely "stick your nose into the situation and take a better look" . Most people buy phones on which they can download the Sikhitothemax app, and therefore access all shabads. Even during kirtan, some people tend to keep there iPhone or something else to read the shabad off instead of using a poothi. Some use laptops. Again, how can a laptop be considered "Sucha"? Even if you wash your hands, that doesn't help, since the laptop itself is not "sucha" unless you wby kaurs4 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Is putting Gurbani files on an iPhone, and other handheld devices appropriate for viewing and doing paath? I ask this because there is no sucham, and Gurbani, such as Gutka's are to held with suchay hands.by kaurs4 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
You've got to be honest with your self. How long do you think yo'll actually grind wheat. It's not an easy process, and consumes alot of time. Besides, I've heard many Gursikhs planning to open a Bibeki farm kind of thing sometime. Hopefully that happens, and then we can probably add more to it, like grinding mills. Otherwise...keep a goat...instead of a dog.by kaurs4 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
KhalsaJi, I get the "feeling" that you don't use MSN often. But, sometimes it's just more convenient, especially for school work, jobs, etc. It can actually be a handing tool, and using the phone may not always be the "right" device to use at the moment. For example, if you need to ask a quick question, it's easier to just ask on MSN or something else, other than calling up that person. Also,by kaurs4 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
You can tell them "I know it's not Halloween. So why are you wearing that mask?" I think that should do. Provide one moment of "shock" ..."silence"... then you walk away. It works.by kaurs4 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
If your wearing a dastaar, it's probably not your head that's cold, it's more likely that your ears freeze, especially if you keep them out. I think wearing one of those head bands, that go around your forehead; you can just pull it over your ears, that way your ears will be warm, and you won't be wearing a "topee" either. Or, you can get ear muffs (I think thats what they're called), and use thoby kaurs4 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
This is a beautiful story! I love it! Looks like a re-make of the fairytale "Cinderella," but like a "Sikh" version. It's still good though. Keep up the awesome work!!!by kaurs4 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Most sarblohi gursikhs I know but atta from the stores. Especially in the western countries (North America), you won't most likely find any grind mills in stores made for home use. Since atta is grinded using machines, so I think that it should be okay to use.by kaurs4 - Gurmat Discussion Forum

I find this a rather interesting question; asking about the negative, rather than the positive. I believe that focusing life on the positive side is better. Why worry about the negative, and how negative it can get? As I've mentioned before on a similar post, I don't understand how knowing this can help one's life. I think that you should just live as if every negative thought, action was the greby kaurs4 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
For what I've heard by many, glass dishes are acceptable to mix in or store in after the food is made. To actually make the food (cook, bake, fry), you should use Sarbloh Bhanday, if you keep Sarbloh-Bibek.by kaurs4 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I have to say, I too have wondered about this question many times. But if you think about it, would knowing how the Universe came to be make a difference in one's life? Would it make it any better/worse? It's agreed that our human capabilities cannot answer such questions, so some rely on science, others ask other people for opinions. No one knows. It's He who created it that knows. What willby kaurs4 - Gurmat Discussion Forum

I was reading another post about sprinkling water into front of Maharaj, and one person replied saying that Puratan Gursikhs would wash the entire house with Milk before bringing in the Saroop. So does this imply that millk is considered more "Pavitaar" than water?by kaurs4 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
