Thank you Veer Sukhdeep Singh Ji, Tanvir Singh Ji ; for doing an analysis of the situation. As Kulbir Singh Ji points out; Apne do more psychological damage to a child or grown up. Inspired by all these posts, I feel Bana has multiple effects on us. It is definitely supposed to bring Chardi Kala. We need it most, when we do not have Chardi Kala. Blue color brings feelings of confidence, according to researchers. Colors change our mood. Both Blue and Kesri are related with happiness & chardi kala. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Guru Pyaro; I did not know that you have expected me in this thread. It is really "very costly" pankiti. No, Bhien Ji, No. Experience of Khalsa Schools and colleges is equally bad. They fail to teach "the love" for Guru. The moment the students leave the school; they like to be cool, as Veer Ji says.by MB Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Veer Sukhdeep Singh Ji, can you please share some psychological analysis of such behaviour in youth. How do they think ? How they react when they see such advice as given above? In general, how all those "hairless" sikhs feel towards Sikh faith? Why are they so insensitive to all those commands from parents and sikh society? It is a big question, I know. As others have contributed, having five singhs at home for PARSHADA was/is the tradition. People used to go to Gurdwara Sahib and ask the Bhai Sahib Jis there to come as five singhs to their home to have PARSHADA. Those five of course, did the Ardaas as desired by the host. (If for any reason, a big Sangat can not be arranged at home, five can be conveniently requested for an urgent problem ) ---by MB Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Five singhs are collectively representing Guru Sahib. Seeking their presence at home, serving them with respect, honor, langar, especially Karah Prashad and detailing them our problem and having them have Ardass for us; is something which is expected from us. We have no better choice than having Panj Singh pray for us. Following Gurbani Shabad gives more inspiration for that. ma 4 || Fourby MB Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Thank you Veer Ji for showing a way. It seems discipline is also a form of "Bhaie" and Spitiruality is represented by "Bhao". Veer Ji, I agree with your views on display of wealth. Certainly we should avoid that. Regarding Veer Kulbir Singh Ji's starting post; it is to be noticed that "respect of wealthy and ignoring poor persons" is also very much prevalent in modern sikhs like me.
