Sorry... that was a typo where I said that patits enjoy same blessings as tyar bar tyar gursikhs. I meant to say that a patit does not enjoy same blessings... I would request admin to please edit/correct that...if possible...else it would create unwanted tension/arguments.by Tejasv - Gurmat Discussion Forum
After viewing the above video, I would like to ask a couple of questions: Firstly, I would like to say that Guru Sahib Kirpa Karan that we may never even think about committing a Bujjer Kurehit. Now, what I know and have learnt is that there is only one kind of sikh which is Khalsa. In the discussion, Sardar Lamba ji showed a photo from Bhai Kahan Singh Nabha ji's book which showed whatby Tejasv - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Bhai Upkaar Singh ji, Blue and kasree (basanti in fact) understood are used for Nishan Sahib and so should not be for the harzoriya. With this reasoning, I suppose black is also ok for the hazoriya? What about other decent colours like sky blue (because navy blue, surmai, is for nishan sahib)? Why only white?by Tejasv - Gurmat Discussion Forum
It is impossible to understand/comprehend the powers/miracles of Gursikhi through logic. Logic is best suited only for worldly/scientific stuff.by Tejasv - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Bhai Kulbir Singh Jeeo, I have a few queries: ਪਰਭਾਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਿ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਚਰਣ ਧਿਆਇ ॥ Shouldn't this be 2, 2, 4 because of the following reasons: 1. Prabh da Naam (hence 2) 2. Gur ke charan (Hence 2) 3. charan are plural ਧਰਮ ਖੰਡ ਕਾ ਏਹੋ ਧਰਮੁ ॥ This could be 2 (Dharam da khand) but couldn'tby Tejasv - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Bhai Gurman Singh Jeeo, One question regarding post one: ਸਗਲ ਉਦਮ ਮਹਿ ਉਦਮੁ ਭਲਾ In this pankati you have mentioned that the first ਉਦਮ does not contain aunkaR as there is a preposition after it. But isn't this ਉਦਮ not singular at all? Because here the pankati means that in all the different kinds of ਉਦਮ (plural) the one ਉਦਮ (singular) wby Tejasv - Gurmat Discussion Forum
mahasengh jeeo, could you please share the 15 points here after they are mentioned at the program, which will be held in Bhai Sahib's loving memory?by Tejasv - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I have learnt a lot of new things through this website. But this by far has been the best and one of the most important things I have learnt. Thank you Amritvela Jeeo for bringing this up and thanks to Kulbir SIngh Jeeo for having explained the matter in great detail. We should have more of such 'Gurmat' articles.by Tejasv - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh I have a question with respect to the fact that Bhai Sahib used to conduct test of writing Gurbani, which even some Gaini's would fail. The question is that how do one memorize the lagamatra(n) which are not pronounced, this would mostly include the aunkad and the sihari at the end? I was actually figuring out whether good knowledge of Gurbaniby Tejasv - Gurmat Discussion Forum

I see a very different style of turban being worn in that era, as shown in the pics. Could some-one please shed light on this.by Tejasv - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Bhai Kulbir Singh Jee, Thank you for the vichaar on this pankati. The translation was very helpful. Is there no way, using Gurbani Viakaran, to justify that ਸੰਤਨ is being referred to as Guru Sahib? I ask this since you have mentioned that in Indian culture, the elders are respectfully referred to as plural. But since this may not always be the case, as you have also mentioned, pby Tejasv - Gurmat Discussion Forum

OK...since this has come up..I have a question...singhs in India talk about something called "jist" or "gist" and they claim it is OK to use as it is basically sarabloh and it attracts a magnet. Well, I won't go into whether this "jist" thing is OK or not. My question is whether anyone knows what this "gist" is called in English. It is obviously a coating on top of the sarabloh but not sure wby Tejasv - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Gambling is prohibited in Sikhi. But what all does gambling constitute? Going to the casino or gambling on horse racing are easy to mark as gambling. But, does stock market trading constitute gambling? Or would we call a forex trader, a gambler? A lot of people put their money/savings in the stock market etc or even trade on the stock marby Tejasv - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Bhai Kulbir Singh Jee and Bhainjee 1kaur Jee thank you for your reply. So this would mean that in circumstances where a Sikh makes a mistake (however grave it might be) but not bujjar kurehit ( so still tyar bar tyar), it is not appropraite to hit a Sikh and according to the above Sakhi such actions would not invite Guru Sahib's Khushi on the Siby Tejasv - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Bhai Kulbir Singh Jee, I have a question with regards to the following points: (I appologise if this seems off-topic but it is very much in-line with the lessons, which we learn from this Saakhi) Quote: Important lessons to learn from this Saakhi: 1. Hitting a Sikh is a sin. 2. Dishonouring a Sikh`s hair by hitting him on the head or pullinby Tejasv - Gurmat Discussion Forum
