This is all getting too contradictory. I donot see it as wrong to apply the saints ( Gurmukhs) feet to ones Kesh ( dhara) . This is why we are advised to do Joria Seva and apply to the dust to our matha and dhara. Guru Sahib gives us the Hukum to " give me the dust of sangats feet) - thus is does not go against to wipe the joria of Sants feet and apply to ones Kesh On one hand it is forbiddby Mehtab Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Please forgive any mistakes in advance. Bhai Kulbir Singh ji can shed more light on this. For years upon years I came across non-AKJ Gursikhs who would question and even mock the way Singhs from the Jatha do saas giraas simran. Few of them even said that they make sound like pigeons (referring to Gurrrr Gurrrr). I never knew what exactly to say, until at a recent rensabhai I got my answer.by Mehtab Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
The following translation does not make sense it would seem ludicrous for one wave to wave a fan ( pakha) over their beloveds ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ( Guru Sahibs ) holy feet? Why? Actually it seems illogical for one to do such a thing. Why? Instead pakha ( faN) like Pavan is referring to swas . It cannot be possible that feet in this pangti is referring to the physical feet of Guru Sahib. Ok, nby Mehtab Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

I guess its a personal choice. Some feel its nimarta to touch an elder's feet, they are right. Others feel we shouldn't bow before non-Gursikhs, thats also right. I am not too sure about this. I have been taught from childhood to touch the feet of all elders, and I still do, even though all elders in my family are non-Sikh, who always are hesitant to let me touch their feet after I took Amrit. Bhai Kulbir Singh ji is absolutely right. Just wanted to add a small bit. Long ago I heard a discourse by a Hindu saint, who stated that once Sahib Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj asked Parmaatma as to what do we do to make you happy? What words do we speak? And the response was to sacrifice one’s sleep during Amritvela, also called as brahm mahoorat (Godly hours) by Hindus and Alal Subaah (the mby Mehtab Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

I forgot another thing (I told you I am a fool, please believe me when I say it...haha). I had to add another point in my question. Simran while sitting down on the floor (provided you are the only person in the room), and Nitnem while standing (whether kesh are open or you've tied a dastaar on) to avoid falling asleep, what is your take on it? Thanksby Mehtab Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
This has been making me wonder for a long time, and I remember asking this before elsewhere too. The reason for confusion mainly arises due to different Gurmukhs doing it differently. So the question is, what is your opinion/suggestion/stand regarding Nitnem after keshi ishnaan? What I have seen/heard is that some Singhs do it from Gutka with kesh open and head covered with a keski, like a chunniby Mehtab Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

VaheguruJiKaKhalsaVaheguruJiKiFateh Please forgive me in advance as I am ignorant about this issue, and came across it based on hearsay. From what I have been told, out of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Sri Darbar Sahib, at the end of sehej paath or akhand paath, Ragmala is recited at one of the two, and not at another. I wanted to confirm (1.) if this is true, (2.) which one follows what. Thby Mehtab Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

There are good and bad people in every community and all I have done are point out the mischief some “communal factions” engage in. Once again, these are a set of inquisitive yet foolish questions coming from a confused and foolish person. 1.) Kara - this has to be Sarabloh, and can one wear a normal sized thin one or a little fat one would be alright as well? Is it ok to wear in both hands or just one? 2.) Kirpan - again, this has to be Sarabloh, and what size does one wear (a.) at home/work, (b.) during ishnaan, (c.) toby Mehtab Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
