Bhai Inderjeet Singh ji, I second that. This forum is unique and is serving a very spiritual atmosphere like none other. I too hope this forum remains calm and spiritual and that all of us members are able to express and discuss in a gursikh manner - with prem piaar. Saying that, everyone is welcome and we should all accomodate for members with different views. ਸਤਿਗੁਰਬਚਨby Amritvela - Gurmat Discussion Forum
There is a very interesting topic going on, on another forum discussing Master Jaswant Singh ji's lekh "Sacha Guru Gavaacho rae". I'm actually amazed to read some of the views expressed by a couple of the posters there on the "issue" of larivaar. The fact that we are even having to discuss and convince someone on the Guru ordained saroop is unfortunate. It surely is kaljug. It would be nicby Amritvela - Gurmat Discussion Forum

MB Singh jio. Your missing my point. I'm not denying you the right to do kirtan. I'm merely stating that kirtan sung by a gursikh with a high jeevan/ avastha brings greater impact to sangat. Thats all. Anand maano!by Amritvela - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Bheinjio. Discriminating is part of bibek budh. Bibek budh is applied to every aspect of Sikhi. I wasn't meaning to say that a kirtani's avastha should or can be checked but rather that a gursikh with a jeevan, rehit and high character is preffered and acceptable in Guru sahib ji's darbar. To do kirtan one must be tyar bar tyar, naam, bana + bani deh dharni and not guilty of any of the foby Amritvela - Gurmat Discussion Forum
MB Singh jee, ofcourse it matters. The personal jeevan of a kirtani holds great importance. Kirtan from a tyar bar tyar gursikh is effective spiritually immsensly. The kirtani should be of spectacular character that can lead as an example to others. Can you imagine somebody who does not live by gurmat to be leading others through kirtan? Here is a very inspirational read from an old post. There is so much that has been written that needs to be re-read that can again inspire new readers. Author: Kulbir Singh Date: 03-28-03 11:38 Bhai Leela-Raam Singh jee Sikhs from Sindh province of Pakistan are known for their love and devotion for Guru Sahib. This is why there should only ever be one langar. Having two langars defeats the whole purpose in the first place. If all the langar can not be arranged, then Singhs should eat at a house or elsewhere. Two langars should not be served in one pangat. We hurt people because we don't practice gurmatbibek - the bibek of equalness. No special treatment for anyone regardless of their appearance.by Amritvela - Gurmat Discussion Forum
