Very nice thoughts Vista ji. Most of your observations are correct. The height of worldy actions that are happening today at anand karajs of gursikhs is on a high. The great gurmat marayada of anand karaj amongst even amritdharis has become so laxed that there is not much difference of anand karajs of manmukhs and gursikhs. So much money is wasted on hiring cars, selecting fancy outfits, cakes aby Hari Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Daya came first. Dharam came second. Why? Without daya, can there be dharam? Can dharam be dharam without daya? Today, we all have dharam but how many of us have daya? What use is dharam without daya? Thoughts and vichaar please. H.Sby Hari Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I second Bhai kulbir singh ji. There is no room for hoods ontop of Dastar. The youth of today should refrain from such western behaviour and learn to respect their crown. H.Sby Hari Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

'Unjaan' ji, please try to see the point 'Bhagauti' ji is making. It would be very uplifting for you if you saw what 'Bhagauti' ji intended for us to see. Whatever his reasons for not taking the money, he has a quality we all as sikhs of the Guru should have and need to strive to have. Bhulla chukka muaf ji. H.Sby Hari Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

This was interesting. While it was great to read, it would have been more sufficient if it was well written. Its a little too direct and a little questionable in some areas but on the most part, its been informative to some extent. Thanks to the poster for sharing. H.Sby Hari Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Using village names also meant that all the girls of that village were automatically sisters/ daughters of a man from the same village. Traiditonally, a girl was not married to a man of the same village. This is still prelavant in villages today. The usage of surnames also helps to differentiate when it comes to marriage. Surnames can sometimes make sure that your not marrying into your bloodby Hari Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
What should one add (if need be) after singh/ kaur if not their surname? It seems adding the village name was the tradition back in panjab but what if your villiage has an unsual funny sounding name. H.Sby Hari Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Wow!!! I wish I had read this earlier. Thanks for sharing. The power of degh is underestimated. Any information on degh would be appreciated sangat ji. H.Sby Hari Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Sangat ji, what should the jivan of a kirtani be? Why is there so much emphasis on the jivan of the kirtani? Please discuss. H.Sby Hari Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I feel that there was no greater gursikh than Baba Buddha sahib ji. I can't begin to imagine how wonderful Baba ji's darshan would have been. The level that Baba ji reached is almost unmatchable in our history. Please can forum members share the great jivan of the great Baba Buddha sahib ji in great detail. Thanks in advance ji. Singhbj - Guru Roop Panj Piare hold a special status when it comes to ardaas. They have been performing such ardas's for cases that are bought to amrit sinchars. There are also countless stories where Guru Sahib ji did ardasa for sikhs of their times. I hope this thread expands with such examples. There is also no better place to do ardas for a gursikh ineed than a smagam. This is a traditionby Hari Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
