Would you explain in detail about what is wrong with saying Sikhism? It just makes it easier for them to pronounce. You don't have to be too strict and orthodox about it. How do you expect a non-sikh to share the same values or views as you? Their lifestyle is totally different. Although I do agree that saying Dastaar is more conventional and sophisticated than saying just saying "turban". Samby sevak123 - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Food is food. Just eat it. All this trying to offer food to God sounds Brahmanic to me. thatz what hindus do to murtis at mandirs. Doing bhog to kraah prashaad to is an age old practice and there's nothing that should be done to stop it. Food can be cooked and eaten, but degh has to be made every time there is some sort of a smagam and brought to darbar. just some thoughts.by sevak123 - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Hence why I always had a negative feeling about this "guptbabbar84". it is advised that the original question asker directly approaches those Gursikhs who carry out the seva of making Langar and Kraah Prashaad di Degh, instead of asking on the forum such questions. Second of all, what Maryada one follows or doesn't follow should not concern you. These questions are not meant to be asked.by sevak123 - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Guru Nanak Sahib may or may not have been "born" on a full moon. Either way, it is irrelevant because full moons do not come out on the same date of the same month every year. The concept of full, half or quarter moons has no relevance in Sikhi. The coming of the full moon is also dependent on the weather on that particular day. The best argument I have is: A person can live without eating eggs and it does not do any damage to one's body. We don't need an alternate replacement to eggs in order to keep the body healthy. But people that stop consuming milk, they still need replacements to milk in order for their bodies to get the same nutrients that milk would provide, had they consumed milk. Please use english terms. I hardly have any idea about what you're saying. Regarding the birth date of Dasmesh Pita ji Maharaj, no one can be so sure about exactly what date of what month Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji took avataar. Main thing is that the Sikhs remain in the habit of remembering and celebrating Guru-purabs, it is fine. I don't think Guru Sahib Ji looks at such minor mistakes.
