Could it be because it has the potenial to become a form of life should the egg have been fertilized? Since the purpose of an egg is to be fertilized to aid the progession of life. Also you mentioned that Almost all commercially sold eggs (esp overseas) are unfertilized.. how is it possible to tell which ones aren't? Perhaps others have other points of view.by Jujar Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

When we were interviweing puratan singhs, there is one interview we have which is an eyewitness account of a conversation between Giani Harbhagat Singh and Sant Gurbachan Singh. in a conversation, Giani Harbhagat Singh was suggesting that they should look at excommicating Bhai Sahib because he doesn't belive in Raag mala. Thanks for the pictures ji just by looking at pictures gave my mind a soothing effect, a fraction of the feeling you exprience when you actually go there. the Gurdwara in the 6th picture was where Bhai Sahibs Haveli used to be situated, and where about 100 years ago today meetings with other ghadarites took place. The dhaab where the nishan sahib is in the last pic is where bhai did bhagtby Jujar Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

A story told by someone who did sangat of Baba Isher Singh ji (Rare wale). Can't remember word for word but here's the gist. A person came to babaji with a problem, to which babaji replied with a shabad from SGGS ji and asked him to repeat this shabad as much as possible. The person got a bit upset and said, 'what will repeating some words do for my problem?' Seeing that this person wouldn'by Jujar Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

How can any baani be anything but Sampooran!? On a separate note, does anyone know how the word 'Kirtan' got associated with Sohila Sahib di baani? Why do people say 'Kirtan Sohila' rather than just 'Sohila'?by Jujar Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Keep it simple whenever you get paid or bring money home, stick at least 10% in a separate account, from where you can distribute dasvandh. this takes care of all salary, divedends, pensions, drawings from businesses, sale of businesses etc.by Jujar Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

A gursikh told me once make sure you do 3 things when you do path: recite (with your rasna), llisten (with your kann) and contemplate / understand (with your mind). Also when you are doing path, you may find your concentration waivers but you are stil reciting the paath. Try stopping at that point and remember where you last were doing those 3 things and go back to that point and start again. Keeby Jujar Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Great Story! But this should apply to any money that one has not earned fairly, not just sangat's money. Many have fallen ill of this, but everyone's lekha will be accounted for one day. Even if you have borrowed (let alone conned someone) out of a penny, make sure it is returned. This is the gursikh way. The following is what I recall from speaking with the family that was present with Baba ji when they visited Bhai Sahib This incident took place roughly in February/March 1961 (Bhai Sahib passed away in April 1961). Baba Puran Singh and some sathi's were in Ludhiana for a wedding and decided to visit Bhai Sahib Ji. When they got to Bhai Sahib's house they were turned away by a sevadaar, sayingby Jujar Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

IMHO, the translation is a very loose translation of the Punjabi version. For example, from a gurbani and sikhi perspective Kuttha does not translate to meat slaughtered in a muslim way. Kutha = meat. Not sure who translated this or if it has been officially checked by anyone?by Jujar Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Parchar needs to be done everywhere I think. I fully support those who do such parchar in Punjab, let us know how we can help you do this. Just because the media or internet was not available in those days, doesn't mean we shouldn't use it now. Thanks for your input.by Jujar Singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
