In IVF, the wives eggs and the husbands sperm is used. Not sperm from a sperm bank. Isreal existance has been cruel and could be bad. And palestinians have every right to fight for their homeland as it was unjustly taken from them. But some religions like Muslims say that since Jewish people killed Jesus, they are cursed to wander the earth and never have a homeland. Thats why they think isrby Nimarta - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Similarily u can think there are so many reasons to be grateful to God. He has all these gifts to give and he has given these to countless ppl.by Nimarta - Gurmat Discussion Forum
For IVF, you can use the spouses sperm as well. So it is not a kurehit. Science is watever God allows humans to discover of his creation. One should not reject science or technology by saying its not natural or not in hukam Lets not be like ISIS who try to control the world and change it to follow Gods hukam. Like they think God does not want isreal to exist (according to their stories)by Nimarta - Gurmat Discussion Forum
The reason sikhs should not be vegans is due to logic. 1. Vegan diet is not complete. There is no nonanimal way of naturally getting B12. Yes there r synthetic forms of B-12. But we dont want to rely on synthetics. If the world collapses and we have to live in jungles, no syntheic B-12. You could say but were not living in jungles now. Thats true but the path guruji made has to be followable tby Nimarta - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I think we can throw out old kashere. As they are mere cloth once not in use. Dastaars and vastar can be cut and reused for rags and wiping cloths. But kashere are generally thrown away and never reused.by Nimarta - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Try reading from kaida or panjabi teaching books. One really good kaida is called baal updesh. Also look at the website of bhagat ji. I think its called gurbani resources or something. They have pdfs of kaide and teach how to read panjabi. They also teach santhiya online. Try googling their website. And start at the basic level. They also have gareebi pothi.by Nimarta - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Should we not change that rule as we dont live in those pinds. In the west, Our pind should be the ppl attending the same gurudwara, the same sangat. This should eliminate ppl tryin to ask for saak at gurudware and samagams as it makes ones very uncomfortableby Nimarta - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Of the 4 khaanis, which one would be bacteria? Andej is all birds and insects, othbhaj is plants, jeraj is all mammals, and therefore i think setaj is bacteria and fungi. Setaj could be energy/heat and or sweat/gandh. And bacteria come out of the air and start multiplying anywhere there is a food source. And there food can be sweat and gandh. So it is almost spontaneous generation. For example ifby Nimarta - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Also there is no gender imbalance in describing God. Only those qualities are used to describe God, that are good qualities. That is why Mata or mother is used, to show God is caring, loving. Khasm, husband is used to show that God is the powerful master. Male friend is used to show that God will help you in hard times. Brother is used to show, God will always have ur back, will be ur right arm.by Nimarta - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Very good question, i have been thinking of it as well. The easy answer is that at the time gurbani uchaaran hoi, the husband and wife relationship was not equal. The husband was was stronger, more powerful, wiser and the women was weaker, lower status. Society was such that a women needed a husband, without a khasm, her life was nothing, a waste, a burden. The man could do without wife. Thatby Nimarta - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Gurfateh ji, I was wondering if the panth could do anything to help this young man: Japan forces a harsh choice on children of migrant families Gursewak Singh grew up in Japan, but he cant attend university, because he is poor and is not allowed to work as he is an illegal immigrant. If we paid his tuition fees, he could stay in Japan at a university, while his parents can come to panby Nimarta - Gurmat Discussion Forum

When u wash ur hands and the kara gets wet and stays wet close to ur skin, then usually one gets a rash. So always dry ur kara after it gets wet, like after washing hands when drying hands also dry kara. Mostly rash develops when we sleep and kara gets stuck on arm, so make sure its dry when u go to sleep. You can put baby oil on kara after drying it at night too.by Nimarta - Gurmat Discussion Forum

In the article provided by Mohan Singh, it saysPunishment for murder cannot be awarded for bonfire etc. of Guru Granth Sahib because murder means killing of a human being by a human being. Besides, the Guru of the Sikhs, being immortal, can neither be killed nor does it die. 2) From camps/sangat I've learned that we do parkarma because Guru Granth Sahib Ji is the Dhir (central part) of a sikh's life.... so when we do parkarma , we are supposed to keep our mukh/focus towards guru ji, during the whole parkarma.......it symbolizes that throughout our life, our mukh is towards guru ji(we're gurmukh), our focus is guru ji, and to remind us that Guru Ji should be the inteby Nimarta - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Thank you all, Great suggestions. Yeah I guess I need discipline, .. I'm going to try to stop wasting time by reading. and if the irresistable urge to immerse myself in another fake/story world comes, I'll try to read the books by Bhai Randhir Singh and Bhai Veer Singh, they're really inspiring, Maybe I'll try writing poetry, I've read very good examples here. and very good insight Harsimranby Nimarta - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Ever since 3rd grade I've been addicted to books(fiction). This probably doesn't make sense, and doesn't seem possible. So I'll have to tell the whole story: I used to make fun of my cousin who read all the time, but then I started reading...all the time. First I read punjabi books like Sundri, Manmohan Kaur, Yarte da Shathar, but then soon got hooked to English books. In 4th grade my teachby Nimarta - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Also I must commend this site for having sakhis of/about/from Mahapurukhs/Sikhs from other factions.
