Sadh Sangat Jee, I was watching a youtube trailer of the Chaar Sahibzaade Movie which will be coming out soon, there is a line said by Baba Ajit Singh in the trailer at 3:15 (the English translation is "Only he can face an army of tyrants who is a true disciple of Sri Gobind Singh Ji") Is this Shabad referenced from Dasam Granth? and if so, can anyone point out where I can find this Shabad.by hsc13 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
jsingh84 Jee, I am a still a learner in Sikhi and I do not know much, but it has been my experience that a daily routine of Sri Sukhmani Sahib Paath and Mool Mantar Jaap will help in reducing with Kaam and Krodh. Apart from your Nitnem, try doing 1 Sri Sukhmani Sahib Paath and 6 Mala Mool Mantar for a few days and I am sure you will feel better. Bhul Chuk Maaf,by hsc13 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I will respond by giving you a list of what Sikhi has done for me: 1. It has taken care of my worldy needs 2. Made me mentally stronger 3. Made me healthier 4. I have a peace of mind that my Father (Guru Gobind Singh Ji) will take care of me in this life and in the next 5. I do not worry so much any more 6. I have become more confident in myself and in my abilities 7. I have more respectby hsc13 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I know of a close friend who has taken Amrit and who daily does his Nitnem and Simran. A health problem has forced him to work a only few hours a week and is dependent on his wife's income to survive and to take of the household. He hardly gives his Daswandh (due to his financial problems) and he does not do any sewa or sit in Sangant. He has asked me for some help. My question to the Sadhby hsc13 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
In response to ns44, it is hard to do simran if one has a job that requires lots of concentration. If one were a computer programmer, accountant or an engineer - I would think it would be very difficult to do path and do your job at the same time. I have tried to do this and have made many mistakes in my work so I have stopped doing simran or path while working.by hsc13 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I have been thinking about your post for a few days now and I just wanted to share my thoughts with you. 1. How much money do we really need to survive, if we already have large houses, fancy cars, the best furniture and clothes and other costly commitments, then obviously we do need lots of money and we have to be working all of the time just to keep up with the rest of the Punjabi communityby hsc13 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Sadh Sangat Jee, Just wanted to ask if anyone has ever used Naam & Gurbani to heal their ailments and diseases. If anyone can share their personal stories as how they have healed their problems using Naam & Gurbani that would be very helpful as I am having no luck healing my ailment using standard medical practices. Thanks to all. hsc13by hsc13 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
My friend, I have gone through your situation many times and what has worked for me is the following: 1. Daily recitations of Sri Sukhmani Sahib Jee, Sri Dukh Bhanjan Jee, and Salok M9. 2. Do Mool Mantar Jaap I have been struggling with depression since childhood and the best medicine for me is what I described above. Sadh Sangat Jee, I wish to ask the question if one were to regularely eat junk food and while at the same time do their Nitnem, Simran etc, would this Sikh lose his or her spritual kamai? I know that indulging in physcial lust will lose one's spiritual wealth, but what about lust of the tongue. Do the 5 theives steal rob such a person who eats tasty junk food? When I am feeling angry and anger is going out fof control, the only thing that works for me is reciting Sri Sukhmani Sahib Jee. It works wonders for keeping one calm and in peace. Maybe make it a habit of reciting one full paath of Sri Sukhmani Sahib Jee before you start your day and you will see a big difference in your mental state.by hsc13 - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Sadh Sangat Jee, Can someone please help explain the rehat by Bhai Nand Lal Jee about not eating before Nitnem. Was he referring to "Panj Nitnem Bhanis" or our usual Nitnem routine (Nitnem, other Banis and Simran). Dear Bhai100 Ji, I am no expert and I do not consider myself a Gursikh but I have learnt so many things this past two years on how to fight kaam. The following is what I have learnt and I apply to my lifestyle as much as I can. 1. Stay away from bad scenes from TV and internet - avoid these like plague. Just think every time you see a bad scene you are giving into kaam and kaam will alwaby hsc13 - Gurmat Discussion Forum

If by chance we do get into periods of feeling down or depressed or in a constant of worry, this is a sign that we are being lazy in our bhagti and rehat. I have countless times have seen that when I get into my "usual paat routine", worry, depression and negative feelings melt away like ice on a hot day. It does not take too long when we cannot wipe the smile off our face : ) Other wise I bby hsc13 - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Sadh Sangat Jee, Just wanted to question a question. We all go through difficult times in life and just wanted to ask how would a Gursikh deal with going through a difficult phase in life. Can some of you share your experience as to how you got through your difficult phase of life such as loss of a job, loss of a family member, financial difficulties etc. Thank to all.by hsc13 - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Sadh Sangat Jee, For a few years now I have been using a home made spiritual diary in which I record the paaths I do (apart from Nitnem), this practise has motivated me to do more paath as well as keep track of paaths I have done. Sometimes when I need to ask something from Guruji I will do X number of paaths of Sri Sukhmani Sahib Ji and this has always helped me to have my ardaas answered.by hsc13 - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Thank you Sukhdeep for giving me such good advice. I was felling a bit down this evening and just reading your post today helped me to lift my spirits. I think I have lost my faith in Guru Sahib and I have not been faithful in doing my amritwela and Nitnem lately so how can I expect The Great Guruji to help me if I do not follow his teachings.
