gurs1kh jee, that is why I said "from my limited understanding." I spent many years studying gurmat sangeet during college. This is very common teaching. I'm sure the giaanees and vidhvaans on this website know more. You should not assume that there is no consistent way of defining which taal each "ghar" refers to. If you study these things, you would know which ghar refers to which taal, andby TarnveerSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
VaahegurooJeeKaaKhaalsaaVaahegurooJeeKeeFateh! From my limited understanding, Ghar essentially refers to Taal. Each Ghar represents a musical measure/beat/rhythm. This way Guru Sahib has specified not only the Raag in which the shabad is written, but the Taal which should accompany it also. Ghar 1 is daadraa (6 beats), Ghar 2 is roopak (7 beats), Ghar 3 is tin-taal (16 beats), etc. Vaahegurby TarnveerSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

TSingh Jee, this is not the appropriate thread to discuss the topic you bring up. Please read the thread posted above. This has been discussed a million times. Most all Singhs and Kaurs on this website, and most affiliated with the Jatha agree that Manglacharans should always come first before the shabad or baanee. This is confirmed via puraatan gutkay and saroops of Guru Sahib. Manglacharans havby TarnveerSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Bhai Sahib, all the options are available for Android too. In addition to lareevaar option, you also have the option to put Manglacharan in the "correct" position, change font size, background color, show romanized script, and add some "additional baneeaan."by TarnveerSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Bhai Kulbir Singh and Bhai Deepinder Singh, it's obvious that your responses are aimed at what I have said. I don't think this type of public forum is the type of place to discuss inner politics of the Jatha, but you have now opened this topic and can of worms, so I will indulge a further discussion. I think you both know that I do not support Bhai Bakshish Singh as Jathedar or AKJ, but ratherby TarnveerSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Singho, is this thread and discussion really benefiting anyone? It has reached an impasse, and it does not seem to be leading anywhere. What is the point of continuing this? Everyone who has taken part has already expressed his or her views, and I don't think there is any further need to beat this dead horse any longer. I know this is a little off topic, and I apologize, but has Bhai Bakshish Singh said anything openly about the recent fiasco in which many prominent "Jatha" members presented a siropaa to Badal? I know he left the program himself out of protest, but what has been done from his side or from the Jatha's side to those people who have smeared the Jatha's image? I noticed that one of the people standiby TarnveerSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Haanji Bhai Kulbir Singh Jee. It's nice to know that there is no rejection of Bhai Gurdaas Jee's Vaaraan. But when I read things like "Daas think there is either misinterpretation of Bhai Gurdas Jee’s vaar or there could be some misprinting," as stated by Jasjit Singh, it disturbs me. Have we become such scholars that the only explanation is that the Vaar itself must be misprinted because it doby TarnveerSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Sorry, Bhai Sahib. I was not "accusing" you, haha! Man, don't be so defensive. I have just seen some threads on this forum as written from No-Bodh, but the signature at the end was yours. I was just curious. Believe me, I don't think there's any conspiracy here. This is not Punjab, haha! I think Bhai Gurdaas Jee's purpose in writing this Vaar was NOT to highlight how Bhagat Jee reached Vaaheguroo. That is clearly already stated in Gurbaani. I think Bhai Sahib's reason for this Vaar is to highlight what qualities it takes to be 'bholaa' and innocent. The focus here is clearly "ਭੋਲਾ ਭਾਉ ਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ." The saakhee of Bhagat Dhanna Jee is simby TarnveerSingh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Vaaheguroo! What an amazing coincidence, Bhai Sahib, that you would post this beautiful shabad, as it has been stuck in my head the last 48 hours. Bhai Prabhjot Singh did amazing keertan of this shabad at our local AKJ California Rainsabaaee just this past weekend. I think it was with Sri Aasaa Kee Vaar early morning May 29, 2011. I may say some things here which may some may consider harsh, or due to krodh. That is not my intention, so please forgive me. Some things must be clarified. The politics played by these so-called Jatha Singhs is ridiculous. They are clowns in my eyes. No true Panthic minded GurSikh would ever present a siropaa to this traitor Badal.
