Sorry, yes I meant self raising flour. Note that most porridge oats sold today are not bibeki. This is because they are partially cooked/heat treated. Only raw/non heated oats are bibeki. These can be found at specialist stores or online. Some more ingredients I'm unsure about: - coconut flour - custardby vivek - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Are the following ingredients acceptable in bibeki cooking: - self-raising powder sold at shops is normally plain flower with some added baking powder and salt - baking powder sold at shops this is basically bicarbonate of soda (a bibeki single ingredient) combined with an acid ingredient (typically cream of tartar) to give it a raising quality for foods. - cream of tartar - vanillaby vivek - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Please could gursikhs here mention important overlooked aspects of keeping sarbloh bibek. I know the best method is to learn in sangat, but this isn't possible for many. So please list here. I'll start: - The tap should be cleaned before use.by vivek - Gurmat Discussion Forum
These are valid points. I would now only consider consuming hemp seeds if Elder, Respectable, Strong Abhiyaasi, Rehitwaan Singhs in India passed a resolution that it is OK. So perhaps if Gursikhs on this forum could talk to their contacts in India. If Elder India Singhs believe it is a kurehit then those that have consumed Hemp should be advised if they need to do peshi. Good thing I askedby vivek - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Social or cultural reasons are not good enough reason to make a decision in my opinion. Either something is acceptable or not. It seemed clear that the seeds would be ok (difference betwwen poppy seeds and opium). Wine is made from grapes etc. There are many such examples of an acceptable food being turned into or grown into something unacceptable. However, since a doubt has now been raisedby vivek - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Question to Pyare Bibeki Gursikhs of this forum: Is pure natural hemp oil/powder acceptable to consume? At the moment I think it is ok for a bibeki as any food consumed must at least pass the following two gurmat requirements: single ingredient requirement - this would definitely fall under single ingredient not a kurehit i.e. a nasha requirement - there is a big difference between heby vivek - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Kulbir Singh ji, WIth respect, it is not true that there are only 8.4 million life forms in the creation. There are fixed 8.4 million life forms on this particular karam bhoomi - earth, but in the wider creation of Vaheguru there are countless beyond imagination number of various life forms. Amrik Singh is not a good singh in my opinion. He is power hungry individual who uses violence to punish those committing dhils. This "jathedar" will most definitely regret his words and actions in dargah, especially that he has done this in saadh sangat. No one will be able to save him from his terrible fate in the hereafter. Kulbir Singh ji, I'm sorry. Reading back my post, it looks like I was pointing a finger at you with my tone and perhaps sounded rude. QuoteFirst of all, Sarblohi Gursikhs in Toronto don’t stop anyone from doing any Seva based on whether Baana is kept 24/7 or not. That was my mistake. The reason for my post was because I thought Toronto Singhs made 24/7 Bana a requirement for sewa where prby vivek - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Sarbloh Bibek is definitely one of the rehits. However I've only seen online posts by strict toronto singhs saying that bana 24/7 is a required rehit. Now will you kindly post a preference from authentic rehitname that this is a requirement. Even strict India singhs don't do prachaar of 24/7 bana as a must, so it's a new term I've heard in recent years. Has Bhai Randhir Singh written such a chby vivek - Gurmat Discussion Forum
You just ignored everything I said. But chalo let me have a final say anyway: Yes dear I believe in shaheed singhs and shaheedi fauj who are countless in numbers I don't know what point you're trying to make. My dear veer, I feel like you are lost or getting stuck in non gurmat views. There is not any physical shastars or degh (as per this world) in karam khand. There is beyond worldy taste there then you can call amrit or even degh, if it pleases you, but it wouldn't be the degh of this world. Karam khand is similar to sachkhand and is way beyond the worldy physical elements. This is the khandby vivek - Gurmat Discussion Forum

You must convince her to take amrit from the punj pyare as soon as possible so that Guru Sahib may give her protection in the next world, which is full of horrors for normal people, if she does indeed pass away in the few months. Normally many punjabis don't want to take amrit because they want to fit in society and enjoy life. They say they will take amrit when they are older. Why can't the normal translations be correct? This seems like a figure of speech rather having doubts on existence of Vaheguru. So literal translation would be "if there is Vaheguru then he will keep you" which actually means "as there is vaheguru he will keep you" You see this sort of thing in everyday spoken language. If there is something you want to learn from other philosophies and meditations which will help you then it is all about the way you breathe. Yes of course naam/bani is the most powerful tool to get rid of all negativity. However there is one problem, naam abhiaas must be done with concentration. Then what is the gurmat way of concentrating on naam/gurbani? Answer: Chant with your mouth and at the same time listen carefully to the sound of your own voice. The above is easier said then done. I think your question is wrong. The right question would be - is having facebook and making public your personal life as a whole inline with gurmat? Let's stop the pakhand for once. Jasjit Singh jee, Then I'm afriad your following argument in favour of this calender has no merit. How about we see what the 1999 bikrami date was for june 1984 and start remembering the attack on this new date as it was in solar calender for 1999. Would that be acceptable for you? If we are to follow the solar calender we should find out the original dates i.e. imagine there was no such thingby vivek - Gurmat Discussion Forum
From what I've heard from lectures by jatha singhs they say things like our aim is to have our lekha cleared so that dharam rai will have nothing to read out. That's right, but then they say after that the soul is merged into waheguru. This seems like a lack of knowledge. Jatha Singhs should read bhai sahib's books carefully. To make another point. It is confirmed by Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh and other jot vigaasi singhs in jatha that degh made and given out by bibeki gursikhs is acceptable to Guru Sahib. From my understanding: Bhai sahib is talking about dharamKHAND in japji sahib. Bhai sahib proves, through the bani in that pauri, that dharam khand is not this earth but the huge realm where dharam rai resides.
