Degh "prepared with full Maryada" is "Kirpan Bhent", an offering from Guru Sahib. How can Khalsa not take it. Its a Maryada. How can one go to Sachkhand by not following this Maryada. How can someone go to Sachkhand by saying no to Guru's offering, its ego. Degh Tegh Fateh!!! it has got some meaning. Degh and Tegh bring Fateh. just wanted to add one more point, about your "research" You mention keywords like "western research", that research or this research, from where you bring gyan and quote numbers. Arrow : Stop defining Ghee. Every Indian knows what it is and from where it comes. There has been too much discussion, there are no solid points which prove that vegan food includes less suffering. A food which vegan eats can be full of sins too as Guru Sahib had squeezed blood out of Roti even. Khalsa should keep Bibek, prepare food from raw ingredients. 1.) You mean to say, 60% of world's agriculture goes for cows? You must be quoting some study of some scientific source, and you must not have done research of your own. You mean there are more cows in dairy than humans in world? If a cow eats 100 pounds, it means the milk it gives contains a lot of energy. Which means dairy gives a lot of concentrated energy. How can other food replace it?by jatinder_singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
answer points wise : 1.) Every thing has a karma bound to it in spiritual world. Like Baba Nanak squeezed out blood from one Roti and milk from another, to show that how sins get into food. This is how there is more or less compassion in food, which food has bad karma and how much of it. So you cannot know how many sins are involved in any food while getting that food from a being. 1.) You could not answer that which product has more compassion in it. It is important to know that how far one can go in compassion, we need to draw line because as you also said we cannot be fully compassionate 100%, we will die otherwise. Why choose cow and ignore other species. And if we go to save all we get nothing to eat. (Dont mix meat issue, its different, Sikh cannot consume meat whethby jatinder_singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Which food has more suffering, a glass of almond milk or glass of cow milk? And how do you calculate that? How about Banana, there is forced labor/child labor in ecuador/phillipines in banana industry. Which food on your plate doesnt involve a story of cruelty? Answer these. Its hypocrisy or lack of information. Or just thinking one aspect, and getting biased to it. Daya means that yoby jatinder_singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
You are recycling your comments again and again, how much compassion you attain by just being a Vegan? And how much compassion does a non-vegan attain? How do you calculate that? i would suggest that you get pesh in an Amrit Sanchaar, know good naam abhyaasi singhs in your area, ask them about amrit sanchaar where good singhs practice in 5 pyaarey. We know few jyot vigasi sikhs of recent times, and of old times who consume dairy, who played tabla, who kept full Khalsa Rehit. They never tried for MINIMUM harm, everyone has its own definition of minimum, vegans create their own. But the minimum of Khalsa is already defined. Out of 84 lakh joons, all have a soul transforming across to reach human form. Mistreating any one of them evokes sin, which adds to the pile of your bad karma. Its a misery, we have not recognized our Guru and its form. Sri Guru Granth Sahib is Akal Purakh itself in the form of Guru, and as physical embodiment of Guru. How does this happen, what and where does Gurumukh feel it (Naam Da Khanda)?by jatinder_singh - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Yes Kulbir Singh Jee, anything is possible if Maryada is missing....nothing surprising. And these Gurudwaras represent Sikh community to western world. As they define Langar as food prepared in community Kitchen. Students get home like food, which looks good, it would have been best if food was Guru Ka Langar as that could have ended their sufferings too, would have atracted them to Sikhi. Veer Suthra Singh Two aspects of Sangat i think we are mixing : 1.) Keertan in hazoori of Sahib Sri Guru Granth Sahib in Gurudwara or Any Samagam : Here yess, we have to be selective in choosing Singhs for sewa of Guru Jee. In this setup, we expect Rehitwan-bibeki singhs as sewadars of Guroo Sahib, only such singhs should be chosen for the sewa. Actually, this stand of mine is the mindset i got reading Bhai Sahib's books. Bhai Sahib's Books guided me that Khalsa Should have very high standards but being humble.
