Sangat jee, I would really appreciate some advice. What is the Gurmat perspective on dealing with depression? I know that it's a silly question to ask as Guru Sahib says "sarab rog ka akhaud naam", but what if your circumstances are such that you have lost all of your gursikh friends, don't really get a chance at doing sangat, and it feels like by each day your love and understanding of Sikhiby dohaagan - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I think it's usually best to keep some snack-type foods, like cookies/muffins/granola bars etc., made at all times. But in situations where I haven't had anything on hand to give me enough energy to make a full meal, I usually opt for soojhee di kheer/kaRaa with badaam.
