Meeting Bhai Saahib Before meeting Bhai Saahib in the year of 2011, I have been following his posts and articles on multiples sites and forums. I was in 11th grade back in 2005, when I first started getting interested in Sikhi. I resided in New York at the time, and never had the sangat I was craving for. Even without ever meeting Bhai Saahib, I always looked forward to his posts or replies, bby AnokhKaur - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Being a mother of 2 kids, I can understand the fear of those mothers who lose their children during a miscarriage or from stillbirth. It is a horrifying experience but one must accept it as a hukam of Guroo Saahib. Every thing that happens to us or any Jeev in this life is accordance to their karams. When a mother is expecting, we consider that life as a jeev, no different than anyone outside. Thby AnokhKaur - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Yes it's sarbloh. A lot of Bibekis use these pans.by AnokhKaur - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Rolled Oats are steamed and processed a bit to make them cook faster than Steel or Stone Cut Oats. So Bibekis don't eat those. They only eat Steel Cut Oats or Stone Cut. Also some pre-dried packaged fruits contain sugar and other ingredients, so you really have to be careful on what is in the package before consuming is Bibeki.by AnokhKaur - Gurmat Discussion Forum
VahegurooJeeKaaKhalsaaVahegurooJeeKeeFatehe!! Every baby is different and every baby has a different time when they are able to set in a routine. You just have to try extra hard and think of Rehit and Amritvela as a priority no matter what. It is hard, but it is so worth it. I don't see a reason on why one can not store in these utensils if they are made out of clay.. Personally I have not seen any Sarblohi family or Singhs here in Toronto using utensils made out of Colombian Clay.by AnokhKaur - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Yes, Clay pots can be used to store food in. But any material that is porous should be carefully used to store cooked food for Sucham purposes. It should be thoroughly cleaned everytime.by AnokhKaur - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Adding to Liberation from Fashion and raising Gursikh Children. You don't have to worry about the new fashion clothing for your kids. Plus Bana is so gender neutral that it can be passed down to your other kids. My baby Bhujangee wears mostly all his sister's Cholay. Funny enough it will create no fights amongst them as well over who gets the best clothes..hahaby AnokhKaur - Gurmat Discussion Forum
One of the aspects of keeping Bibek is Sucham. Not only the tap but also where you cook food and serve food on should be cleaned before use and eating. Also washing your hands before eating anything is important, including DEGH! Many people overlook washing raw ingredients before eating including Nuts, which is quite disgusting, considering that these nuts have been in warehouses and probably beeby AnokhKaur - Gurmat Discussion Forum

Yes one should avoid chatting and texting during Keertan or when Paath is going on. I think only conversations that are related to Paath or Keertan seva being done should be allowed. Having said that one can only imply that rule to oneself because many people won't follow it. If you want you can ignore a conversation during paath so for the next time people will know not to start a conversation wby AnokhKaur - Gurmat Discussion Forum
I agree with SK's points. It is sad to see that many Amritdhari Dastaar wearing Bibiyan nowadays promote western cutout kapre in the name of fashion. What's more sad is that they think it is OK to wear such kapre. Both men and women need to understand that the kapre they wear will inspire the coming generation. If right now they think that cutout jeans and low neck kapre are OK to wear, one can oby AnokhKaur - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Great points SK. One of the other points to add is SEVA. When we were young in our house, whenever our parents would take us to Gurdwara, they would make us take part in seva. Either it was Bhandiya di seva, langar seva, washing marble floors of gurdwaras, or Joriyaan Di Seva. Even if our kids can't take part in Langar Seva because of Bibek and Sucham, we should teach our kids the basics of eaby AnokhKaur - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Vivek Jee, I was trying not to post anything on this topic, because everything is already covered about rehit by Gursikhs on this forum. There are quite a few videos on Youtube with people incubating supermarket eggs and them actually hatching! So thinking that the eggs in the supermarket are always unfertilized is not true. It is a jeev, that had a chance to live but you killed it. While it is true that factory farming for Milk is unethical, we can always try the best option. For some reason elders in our community have a mentality that English would be a better option for the future generation since they live in a western country and English is what they will be speaking when growing up. My own Nephew and Niece speak in English with their family members both being under 5! Processed milk is not suitable for Bibekis. While everyone's level of Bibek is different as Daasgupt veer jee pointed out, it is always a best idea to make your own food in which you have control on how you prepare it. I have made almond milk a lot of times in the past, and it is really not a difficult process to make non-dairy milk. With store bought products you really don't know where your fooby AnokhKaur - Gurmat Discussion Forum
Hanjee my Bunga was part of my keskee. I just tied it a bit lose on top making sure the larh didn't cover my bunga. My keskee was 4 meters full width, that included the bunga, and dastar about 7 meters full width. It might be easier to practice before hand. But if you still feel unsure, just do regular keskee without bunga , and tied it again after Amrit Sanchaar. You don't want the Panj Pyaarayby AnokhKaur - Gurmat Discussion Forum

I have tied my keskee with Bunga during Amrit Sanchaar with a dastaar, but you have to be careful that you leave space on top so the top of your head is easily available to sprinkle Amrit. VahegurooJeeKaaKhalsaVahegurooJeeKeeFatehe! Veerjee I have gotten bhaandey from Lohgarh as well in the past and never had any problem with them. You can use the inside of a ripe Banana peel to rub against your teeth before brushing every day. It is the best stain remover, mouth freshener, and teeth whitener that nature has provided. But you have to do it everyday to see any changes. Plus banana being mostly every Sarblohee's go-to food/snack, you can even do it after eating the banana itself, and then brushing.by AnokhKaur - Gurmat Discussion Forum
