The way I see it is this: When someone teaches us a lesson, we sit and listen, rather than stand because it creates disturbance and this body language speaks rude about you. Same way, when Guru Sahib Maharaj reads out Laanvaan for us through the Singh or Singhni sitting on Tabiyaa, we sit attentively and listen to the instruction being given. It makes more sense to sit. gsingh wrote: Satguru is all forgiving, we are not worthy of calling ourselves his Sikhs, he forgives millions of our sins. What a baseless argument! Satguru is all forgiving, yes no doubt, but this does not mean you go around talking to bibian, chattibg, flirting, having wrong thoughts, getting into relationships, staring them down, then say "Satguru is all forgiving". B.Singh jeeo, it is not compassion to just ignore something you see happening in front of your eyes, nor is this humility. Would Guru Sahib just push sucj a case away? Bhai Sahib Kulbir Singh Jeeo, The only justice there is either beheading or stoning them to death, not only the "Aashqs", but also the elder Gursikhs who don't do anything to help stop these Aashqees, but rather let it slide away and ignore. Maybe then these hypocrites will stop and would refrain from committing Kurehtaan, when true justice is served to them, ie beheading and stoning them to dby Baask - Gurmat Discussion Forum
There is something that I have seen been happening in today's youth these days, so I wanted to bring to everyone's attention. It has become prevalent in this day and age for Sikh youth to openly mingle, chat and flirt with members of the opposite sex. So much so, that those that are doing it, are in fact the ones playing some type of role in the Sikh community and Jatha. These Aashqiaan are openlby Baask - Gurmat Discussion Forum
My first question is this, do you believe that what happens in this karam-bhoomi is due to our previous karams? Do you even believe in karams? No. In Gurbani, the reference to dreams is used as an indication to our lives. In Salok Mahala 9, Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib ji uses the example of a dream to show the state of our *awake* jeevans. Dreams are nothing but a curiosity and foolishness of the fickle mind. In no way, do they have anything to do with our *awake* lives. It is the Aborignals of Canada who believe the *dreams* are a reflection of our past, present and future, among other beliefs they aquire, which is the very reason they have not established themselves fundamentally, psychologically and financially.
