I believe there is no particular language suitable to praise God because praise comes from the heart and not words. Even though I feel more confident in writing in English I would often left out when reading Gurmukhi poems by Gurmukh brothers and sisters on this forum. Gurmukhi script looks so beautiful because it was blessed by Guru Sahib.
So being inspired by Gurmat literature; this illiterate has attempted to write a poem using Gurmukhi script while using different languages ( Punjabi, Persian, Arabic and English) because I believe one language is not enough to praise God. I dont claim any fluency in the languages so forgive me for my many spelling and grammatical mistakes. Below is a translation in case one might not be able to understand the Gurmukhi version.

Father- God , bless this sinner with a child intellect ( child like obedience).
In day and night your amazed light shines in the heart.
Without your vision , I am not in a happy condition.
When their was no sight of the Compassionate lords light
the body was weak , and the mind was pitch black.
Without your illuminated name, the life is spoiled ( bad) and the soul is empty
Without the fortune of Naam, I was a poor and hungry soul.
The mind was completely ruined without your remembrance/Naam my Lord
My beloved Lord, in your love we become alert
My mood rapidly changes
when you give us your love and grace.
King of Kings, Millions of thanks
Im a sacrifice to your holy feet
The Amrit Naam that came from you via Amrit Paan
is my most beloved capital
But without devotion, the outer eyes and remains doors continue to exist
Through loving devotional practice, the first gift we receive is your love
Secondly, through the most generous lord our self will/mind gets destroyed, next the 10th gate is revealed.
Oh my, One and true Beloved God give me devotional worship with each breath.
Without devotional worship the inner eye is blind, the inner ear is deaf.
Without praising you ones karma is bad
God, your devotees only understand one time
They do not renounce you for one minute, and even one second.
In the Naam abiding breath located in the naval exist the mind awakening intoxicant.
This intoxicant is Amrit Ras by drinking it all sins are destroyed.
Generous, doer of all doing- Creator Respectful God,
Light of the World and Giver be kind and bless us with divine intelligence through your teachings.
