Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

Sorry sangat ji, another stupid question - why do some Gursikhs write their Fateh in LaRivaar format, like this:

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂਜੀਕਾਖ਼ਾਲਸਾਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂਜੀਕੀਫ਼ਤਹਿ

Also, when and how was this Fateh originated? Was it at the first Khanday ki Pahul Amrit Sanchaar in 1699?

I am not sure if fateh originated at the time of first Amrit Sinchaar or if it was practiced before. It seems like it must have been introduced at the time of Amrit Sinchaar because Guru Sahib officially declared the takers of Khand Pahul to be Khalsa at that time. Since fateh contains the word "Khalsa", it must have originated at the time of first Amrit Sinchar.

I could be wrong. If someone has more information, please post it here.

Is there any reference in GurBani or any other literature to this GuruFateh being written like this?
