ਇਹ ਸਾਗਰ ਸੰਸਾਰੇ, ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਭੈਹਾਰੇ, ਦੇ ਕੇ ਬਾਂਹ ਮੋਹਿ ਤਾਰੇ, ਨਹੀਂ ਮੈਂ ਡਰ ਜਾਣਾ।
ਮਾਇਆ ਵੀ ਤੁਹਾਰੇ, ਇਹਦੇ ਬਿਖਮ ਸ਼ਰਾਰੇ, ਲਵੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਉਬਾਰੇ, ਨਹੀਂ ਉਂਜ ਸਰ ਜਾਣਾ।
ਕਰ ਪਾਪ ਹੁਣ ਹਾਰੇ, ਢੱਠੇ ਥੋਡੇ ਦਰਬਾਰੇ, ਨਹੀਂ ਥਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਬਾਰੇ, ਨਹੀਂ ਵਾਪਸ ਘਰ ਜਾਣਾ।
ਕੁਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘਾਰੇ, ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਬੇਚਾਰੇ, ਹੋਰ ਦਰ ਨਾ ਸੁਝਾਰੇ, ਤੂੰ ਤਾਰੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਤਰ ਜਾਣਾ।

ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਿਆਰੇ, ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਆਰੇ, ਗੁਣ ਬੇਸ਼ੁਮਾਰੇ, ਵੱਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ।

4 ਉਦਾਸੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਓਹ ਤਰਦਾ ਗਿਆ

Why Guru Nanak Dev Jee Came Down to the Earth
The following are translations from Poems written in Panjabi:

When sins and falseness spreads around, and men and women leave dharam (good deeds) and do adharam (bad deeds).
When the Saints have left the religious places, and these religious places are now ruled by sinners.
When the whole world is full of darkness and aghiaan (senselessness)
Then to destroy all these sins, then you (God) must take up and avtaar.

The cry of the Earth (To God)
Hey friend of the poor! Please listen to my prayer. I cannot tolerate the weight of all these sins any longer.
Please take away the filth of Kaljug (The Dark Age). Destroy my sins, and place your pavittar (pure) fee on me (the earth)."
Maharaj Jee looks at the Earth and gives it comfort. "Hey Earth, I will remove your pain.
Quickly, I will take up a form; I will create the Beautiful form of Guru Nanak."

Akaal Purakh is always merciful. Maharaj Jee blessed this Earth, after the Earth prayed with humility.

Siri Guru Nanak Dev jee and the Miserable Leper

This very happy person became diseased and witnessed himself being banished to the outskirts of his town. No one dared to come near him because everyone feared getting infected with leprosy. A small hut was built for him at the outskirts of the town. At first, when everyone felt sorry for him, they provided food and clothing to him on time but gradually, there came a time that for many days no one visited him. Even his children, parents and wife forgot about him. His body was decaying with the disease and he was enduring great pain. From somewhere he heard that only Guru Nanak Dev jee could cure him. His sorrow became his cure (Dukh became Daaroo). He did not have Naam but he started calling out Siri Guru Nanak Dev jee in full Bairaag. Siri Guru jee heard his pleas, came to him and cured him. The following is a tribute to this Saakhi.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਕਾਰੇ, ਕੋੜੀ ਇਕ ਦੁਖਿਆਰਾ।
ਸਰੀਰ ਸਾਰਾ ਗਲ ਗਿਆ, ਰੋਂਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਪੁਕਾਰਾ।
ਸਭ ਸਾਕ ਸੈਨ ਛਡ ਗਏ, ਬੜਾ ਵਖਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਰਾ।
ਨਾਰ ਤੇ ਬਾਲਾਂ ਤਜਿਆ, ਸੀ ਕਦੇ ਅਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਤਾਰਾ।
ਪਤਨੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੀ ਸੀ ਜਾਨੀ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਖਰਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ।
ਨਾਰਿ ਪਾਸ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਆਵੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋੜ ਦਾ ਚੜਿਆ ਤਾਰਾ।
ਪਿੰਡੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਦਿਤਾ, ਟੱਬਰ ਉਲਟ ਹੋਇਆ ਸਾਰਾ।
ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸਾਕ, ਜੋ ਕੋੜੀ ਦੀ ਲਵੇ ਸਾਰਾ।
ਜਦ ਸਭੇ ਸਾਕ ਉਠ ਗਏ, ਲਗਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਨ ਪੁਕਾਰਾ।
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਣ ਆਇਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਹੋਰ ਚਲਿਆ ਨਾ ਚਾਰਾ।
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਸੁਣੀ ਉਹਦੀ ਪੁਕਾਰ, ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਣ ਦਾ ਤਿਆਰਾ।
ਨਾਲ ਲਿਆ ਮਰਦਾਨਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਖ ਪਿਆਰਾ।
ਜਾ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਉਹਦੀ ਕੁਟੀਆਂ ਖੜਕਾਇਆ ਉਹਦਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ।
ਸੋਹਣੀ ਮਿਠੀ ਦਿਤੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ , ਕੋੜੀ ਦਾ ਸੀਨਾ ਠਾਰਾ।
ਮਰਦਾਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਕੀਤਾ, ਲਿਆਓ ਬਾਹਰ ਇਹ ਵਿਚਾਰਾ।
ਕੋੜੀ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਸ਼ਕ ਆਵੇ ਮਰਦਾਨਾ ਝਿਝਕਿਆ ਨਾ ਦੁਲਾਰਾ।
ਬਾਹਰਿ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਕੋੜ੍ਹੀ, ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੇਖਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਾ।
ਰੋਗੀ ਦਾ ਰੋਗ ਕਟਿਆ ਤੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਮੁੜ ਤੋਂ ਨਵਾਂ ਨਿਆਰਾ।
ਐਸੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜਿਨੀ ਕਲਜੁਗ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਰਾ ਫਾਰਾ।
ਕੁਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ, ਰੋਗ ਸਾਡਾ ਵੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਜਾਰਾ।

Actually, when I wrote that line of poem, the following Gurbani Pankiti was lurking in my mind:

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੂ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਸਰਬ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਕੁ ਮੋਹਿ ਕਲਤ੍ਰ ਸਹਿਤ ਸਭਿ ਗੋਲਾ ॥
(Vaheguru jee you are the the sustainer of all, I am your slave along with my wife).

This is a Gurmat Sidhaant that you are to be slave to Guru Sahib along with your wife.

Basically, this Pankiti has a hidden Hukam that when you become a Sikh (Gola) of Guru Sahib, you must do so along with your spouse. This is why at Amrit Sinchaar, Amrit is given to both husband and wife and not to only one spouse.

ਰਹੀ ਗਲ ਤਰਨ ਦੀ, ਅਸੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਖੁਦ ਆਪ ਸਭ ਗੁਰਸਿਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਤਰ ਸਕਣਾ ਹੈ। ਸੋ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੋ ਜੀ।

Baba Nand Singh ji Kaleranwale has blessed the Sikh panth by teaching a viddhi (method) by which we may make spiritual progress by leaps and bounds. Those who remain awake on the night preceding the day of the pooranmashi will attain the spiritual merit of doing one month worth of amritvela. Those who remain awake the whole night preceding the pooranmashi of Guru Nanak Sahib Maharaj ji’s advent to this world will attain the kamai (merit) of one year worth of amritvela! The point is to remain in yaad of Guru Nanak sahib ji the whole night. This year pooranmashi of Guru Nanak Sahib ji’s prakash diharra is on the 21st of November. This means you need to start on the night of November 20 and continue at least until the sun rises (or as much as you possibly can do). Das has heard that Baba Nand Singh ji said that Guru ji took avtar at 12:21 AM.

People sometimes do nindya of such things as they fall outside the bounds of ordinary human logic. However Gurmat has its own logic, it is internally consistent. But this does not mean that one can figure out the ocean of Guru Granth Sahib ji through mere philosophizing. If that were true the ocean would in reality be a mere puddle. Gurbani unequivocally states that the bachan of a True Sant automatically comes true. Have sharda in your Guru’s bachan about the sants.
