1)what does "...ਮਨਕੇਭਰਮਾ ॥" refers to?

I think the pangti you quoted is referring to Single Minded devotion/single minded decision-making ( BibeK). When the mind relies on itself through the help of the panj doot, the mind becomes unsteady and wavers in doubt. Only through Guru Sahibs grace ( naam) the panj doot are conquered and the doubts are removed. Guru Sahib says Khalsa destroy panj doot and are without doubt

In this world we have two types. We have the manmukh who will stay here; deluded by doubt they make decisions based on their own intelllect. On the other hand we have the Gurmukhs who come to the Gurus sanctuary and rely solely on the Gurus knowledge ( Naam); thus, they will leave will full honors. RElying on Guru Sahibs Hukum/gian is the only way to destroy agian/ਭਰਮ ( doubts, ignorance). The Gurmukhs through Guru Sahibs blessing witness this world play.


ਕਈ ਭਰਮ ਭੂਲੇ ਭਰਮ ਮੈ ਭੁਲਾਨੇ।

ਕਈ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਆਏ ਕੀਏ ਤਾਹਿ ਗਿਯਾਨੇ

ਕਿਤੇ ਜੀਵ ਆਈ ਕਹਾ ਚਾਲ ਕੀਨੀ

ਦਇਆ ਧਾਰ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਯਹ ਬੁਧਿ ਦੀਨੀ

The Gurmukhs through Guru Sahibs counsel do khoj and find the Gurus knoweldge ( Gurmat) via Naam Abhyiaas they eventually get to the point where they see God in everything and everyone and realize he is the only giver while the manmukhs stay in duality get destroyed and come again.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਲਾਧਾ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥

ਤੁਧੁ ਆਪਿ ਵਿਛੋੜਿਆ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥੧॥

ਡੀਗਨਡੋਲਾਤਊਲਉਜਉਮਨਕੇਭਰਮਾ ॥

Many Paathis who do paath from Laridaar Saroop, sometimes do the wrong pad-chhed of this Pankiti as follows:

ਡੀਗ ਨ ਡੋਲਾ ਤਊ ਲਉ ਜਉ ਮਨ ਕੇ ਭਰਮਾ ॥

but the correct pad-chhed is:

ਡੀਗਨ ਡੋਲਾ ਤਊ ਲਉ ਜਉ ਮਨ ਕੇ ਭਰਮਾ ॥

In the first way, the meanings are totally opposite the correct meanings that so long as there are doubts of the mind, there are falterings.

Now the question is what are these doubts of the mind that cause the jeev to fall again and again.

The doubts of the mind are basically caused by ignorance. This ignorance causes the Jeev to believe that he is this body and knows not that he is merely living in this body and is not this body at all. The jeev tries to accummulate and possess this world which cannot be done. This causes all the problems. In this Shabad itself Guru Sahib has written which are "Mann-ke-Bharma":


1. ਓਇਬਿਖਾਦੀਦੋਖੀਆਤੇਗੁਰਤੇਹੂਟੇ ॥
(This Pankiti refers to the 5 Bhoots that are basic cause of evils in our life)

2. ਮੇਰਾਤੇਰਾਜਾਨਤਾਤਬਹੀਤੇਬੰਧਾ ॥
(So long as one believes that "this is mine and that is yours", one stays stuck in the bonds of Maya)

3. ਜਬਲਗੁਹੁਕਮੁਨਬੂਝਤਾਤਬਹੀਲਉਦੁਖੀਆ ॥
(So long as the Jeev does not recognize the Hukam (of Naam), the Jeev stays sad and sorrowful)

4. ਨਾਕੋਦੁਸਮਨੁਦੋਖੀਆਨਾਹੀਕੋਮੰਦਾ ॥
(There is no enemy nor is anyone bad, all is his Hukam).

These Bharams are removed after meeting the true Guru and adopting Gurmat which includes Guru Sahib's Naam and Rehit roopi Hukams.
