Guru Gobind Singh Jis image

The other day I saw an AmritDhari bhenji wearing lipstick, earings, make up and having her heard uncovered. This vision made me feel sad and made me think how Guru Sahib can only be seen through his Sikhs who follow his teachings. So I made up this rhythm to cheer me up.

Guru Gobind Singh Ji Lives in his Loved Ones

Face so pure and natural like untouched nature without any alteration
His face can be viewed in his Khalsa nation.
Restraining from picking, plucking, and trimming Gods gift
His children escape from the terrifying pit.

Vanity is shunned, their faces shine bright like the illuminating Sun
Offering their heads the Sun has risen, they only mediate on the benevolent One

They keep the sun shining and destroy the dark clouds of makeup.
Realizing the pure white light the blackened faces have turned back to pure white.
Knowing their master is in their Hazoori they never dare wear jewelry.
Their illuminating face is never covered with the veil of vanity; the great Guru
has given them the title “Kings and Queens of Humanity”.

Knowing lipstick, and makeup will put them to sleep.
Their only makeup is the dust of the Sadh Sangats holy feet.
Coloring their eyes with the Gurus illuminating word.
Destroying all thoughts of wearing colored contacts with their inner sword.

The Gurus Dastar stand like a towering Star during dark nights
Adorning this Dastar they stay in great spiritual heights.
Their turbans stay as orange, white, black or Blue; thus, following a Gurmat Asool

By looking in the mirror every day their Gurus face becomes uncovered
Through his darshan the hidden light is re-discovered.

Brilliant!! Very good effort.
