Bring me to you
June 02, 2010 07:51AM
I feel this separation in the wandering of my mind,
in the crumbling of the rocks, in the struggle of the climb
I feel this separation in the silence of the skies,
the howling of the wolves, the lonesome owl's sighs
I feel this separation in the darkened face of the moon
in the teardrops of the flower, wondering if light will come back soon
I feel this separation in the regret of my mistakes
the injuries of my faltered steps, in all my cuts and scrapes
I feel this separation in the cold and chilly air
in the memories of the warmth I felt when I realised you were there

Through the lonesome night, this separation binds me to you
Oh Love, this crazy agony makes me unsure what to do
Yet the mountain peak up high, with your glowing star on top
is too bright and alluring for me to ever stop
Agony agony agony, the colours of separation are so wonderous
the silence of separation is stormy and so thunderous
The clouds have turned purple with the rage of the storm
and the woods are crying loudly from the harsh wind's scorn
In the chaos of my soul, I seek comfort in your company
In the distance of our separation, you are yet always with me
Sweet is your touch, in the form of the wind
sweet is the way you make us dance to your whim
Sweet are your ways, and sweet is your name
Perfect is your chaos, and beautiful is your game.

That is wonderful. It reminded me of the Shabad, MAN BAIRAAG BHAYA DARSHAN DEKHNE KA CHAO, sung by Bhai Harjinder Singh Sri Nagar Wale.

Absolutely Beautiful!

This is just an observation from the point of view of a person who thinks in Punjabi. The expressions above are Western (nothing wrong in this). In a Punjabi (or Hindi, Urdu) poem you wouldn't use these expressions.

It's amazing how different cultures use the same examples to denote different thoughts.

Who do I send with my message of love
my letter, that I wrote, while looking above
preetam jee, my voice is weak,
will you hear my crying squeak?
I have not the energy to keep on screaming
I will hum to myself, and keep on dreaming
preetam jee, I can not walk any longer
I lay here, on the road, just above a slumber
will my dreams bring me visions of you?
I wait, love, for you to bring me to you....

Bhein Ji, poetry needs freedom and flight, idea and intution. So, as soon as I get all that grocery, I may come up with a dish. moody smiley

Pyareo how am I to eat when I have not had his vision?
My taste buds yearn for his beloved amrit
How can I rest, when I do not have him by my side?
my body calls out to his beloved arms
embrace me love, let us be one
give me this night, let the wait be done.

He will come to us, in the darkness of night
Shining, radiant, beacon of light
The stars will beam, and sing shrill and long
and the angels will lend their bells to the wedding song
So let’s deck ourselves in jewels, let’s put on our dresses
Let’s wash ourselves in sweetness, let’s comb out our tresses
Let’s ready our beds, and wait by the door
Let’s collect daisies, and decorate some more
He will come to us, in the darkness of night
Watch with me, sister soul-brides, for his blessed sight

I have not yet met him, within my own home
yet he sends me his love on the sweet notes that emit from the lips of his many soul-brides
He sends me his sadness in the dew-like nectar which shimmers in their eyes
- and I know he misses me too

I have not yet met him, within my own home
but he sends me his joy in the vibrations of the air, over distances of a thousand breaths
Their bhagti becomes his name, blossoming within me
- and I know that I have met him in human form

I have not yet met him, within my own home
but he sends me hope, in the power and shakti of their companionship
He gives me a high, that I never meant to feel
- and my brothers and sisters become my home, in which he dwells

Bhein Ji, has not titled her latest two poems. If given chance, I will call the first "Amrit Vela" and the second as "Blessed Souls"

AMRIT VELA

BLESSED SOULS

Good pictures Bhai MB Singh jeeo.

I would name the first untitled poem - He will come to us - because this is the first line of the poem, it is repeated again in the end and this is what seems to be the central idea of the poem.

About second one, I can't think of any title.
