Are all 5 emotions equal to each other?

Is 1 emotion more powerful than the others?

I hear Singhs say so and so should go pesh because he is kaami, but they never say that about a kirtani who is greedy after money? Suggesting that its ok to indulge in some emotions but not in others.....discuss.

Based on the tiny understsanding of daas, Kaam related issues will lead to bajjar kurehat where as charging money for kirtan with greed won't.

So from this I would conclude that Lust is more powerful and more damaging?

from what i have seen of society... i would say for men, kaam is the most damaging. for women, it seems to be haumai. both can lead to bujjar kurhets. and both almost always lead to other vikkars.

I have heard Gurmukhs say that an individual has 1 (or in some extreme circumstances 2) of the 5 vikaars that trouble them the most. The one which we suffer from most is the most difficult to overcome. This is only possible through ardaas, strict rehat, heavy naam abhiyaas and Gurbani paath, and seva.
