I'm not sure... basically I was wondering are you allowed to marry your Chachi's brother's son or anyone from your chachi's side.

Yes because your chachi doesn't have the same DNA and doesn't come from the same bloodline as you. Your chacha is someone who is directly related to you in terms of bloodline/DNA because he is your father's younger brother.

There were certain traditions followed by the people of Punjab, or the people of India, in the past. Traditions do change with time. In Gurmat, we do have a directive from ‘Mukti Naama’ , where Guru Ji instructs Sikhs to marry a Sikh, but avoiding two surnames. The two surnames to be avoided are: Nanakeh and dadkeh. That is do not marry anyone with same surname as mother or father...
