Elastic in Baana?
October 28, 2017 06:01PM
I'm a bibi and I only wear Baana. Sometimes, especially at night, it gets uncomfortable to wear pajami as it is tight on the bottom and has the naalaa on top, so I've started to wear looser pajamis that are straight (no 'vals' on the bottom - kind of like a pajama but not quite as big and baggy of course), but I've recently seen that these type of bottoms are often available at clothing stores, even in cotton variety, making them blend with the chola top exactly (plus they are MUCH cheaper than having them custom made by a punjabi tailor in my area). But they all have elastics on top instead of naala. My question is - is it ok to wear it if there is elastic? I know that wearing kachera with elastic is wrong but I've heard few concerns at times of people being told not to put elastic as a replacements in Baana pajamis either.

I'm confused about whether this would be ok. Could someone give their feedback?
