This is not Karam Philosophy of Bhai Daya Singh or Sri Guru Gobind Singh this is Karam Philosophy of Kavi Santokh Singh. Kavi Singh was not a contemporary of Bhai Daya Singh. He collected stories and wrote creatively. He has a good understanding of Karam but I wouldnt say there is no evidence that its in line with Bhai Sahib Bhai Randhir Singh Ji or Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji for that matter. The reason being both Bhai Sahib and Gurbani make an emphasis on Naam where as Kavi Santokh Singh has not mentioned Naam once when talking about Karam.
Bhai Sahib has written clearly about Gurmat Karam Philosophy strictly using Gurbani pangtis he did not write creatively using Sakhis. For example, when writing about Kirat Karam ( deeds done in this life being influenced from deeds from past life) he strictly supports his point using Gurbani. Bhai Sahib has also articulately mentioned how Gurmat Karam Philosophy being distinct then Hindu and Buddhist Karam Philosophy. The obvious difference being the Gurmat Karam of Naam Abhyiaas which is not mentioned anywhere in other philosophies. One can interpret the word Gyan in Kavi Santokhs Singhs writing to mean Naam but there is no clear evidence this was his intention.
