Harimandar Sahib - Amritsar Sahib question

We all have read and heard that Guru Arjun Dev Sahib ji designed and founded Harimandir Sahib. However in few books I read that Guru Ramdas Sahib Ji founded it but Guru Arjun Dev Sahib Ji completed the task. I got little confused because I thought that the sarovar was designed by Guru Ramdas Sahib ji but not the Harimandir Sahib itself.

What is sangat's view based on their research?

Guru Ramdas Ji built the sarovar but it was kacha. Guru Arjan Dev Ji founded and built Harmandar Sahib as well as making the sarovar pacca. The idea was envisioned by the 3rd Guru, started by the 4th Guru and finalized by the 5th Guru.

Thanks Bhai Sahib, that is what my understanding is.. maybe couple of books got it wrong or they meant Sarovar but wrote it Harmandar Sahib by mistake. Most books especially the historic ones are the same as you mentioned.
