I was trying to understand why the NYC Sikh police dastaar in photo looked unusual, until someone told me they have to wear police cap above the dastaar, and article from Sikh org also mentioned limit of beard length allowed with new ruling.
So is this progress really for Sikh police, as is, Sikhs in photo have cut beard, and same is issue with reps of sikh orgs I see in emails I receive, youth in t-string, low cut neck, loose hair, so how do were prove to non Sikhs, employers, schools et al, WHAT IS SIKH BANA, WHAT IS SIKHI, so those walking kanio tiki path not mistaken as extreme etc ji?
