Sadh Sangat Ji, I've been reading this message board for about a year now and it has helped me in a great way to get on the Path of Sikhi. There's one question that has been on my mind for some time but I couldn't find clear answer anywhere. I thought it would be a simple question to answer for some on this board so I decided to join and ask here.

The question is: What exactly is ਦੁਬਿਧਾ? I see this term mentioned in Gurbani many times but I haven't been able to get a clear understanding of this term.

I also was always a little confused with the concept of dubidha, but the explanation above cleared all doubts.
I completely agree with Unjaan Jee.... Dubidha is the story of my life.

Any thoughts/veechars on how to get rid of dubidha from our jeevans would be greatly appreciated.
This kookar could really use any help on how to eradicate dubidha from one's mann and focus all dhyaan on guru sahib's charan.

In the Shabad you posted previously, Guru Sahib says:

ਜਾ ਕਉ ਭਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਿ ॥
ਤਿਸੁ ਭਈ ਖਲਾਸੀ ਹੋਈ ਸਗਲ ਸਿਧਿ ॥
ਗੁਰਿ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਹੈ ਮਾਰੀ ॥
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ ॥8॥5॥

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but what I understand from this is that ਦੁਬਿਧਾ is only killed through ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ, so by reading Gurbani, doing Simran, listening to Kirtan and Katha, in a way we are calling out to ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ to save us?

ਦੁਬਿਧਾ is something that I'm really struggling with. I'm sure most people are, but it just feels like it's burning me inside.
