Reeses Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars

peanutbutterbar

Ingredients:

Peanut Butter-

1 cup washed and dried peanuts
½ teaspoon salt
¼ cup unrefined raw coconut oil
2 tbsp raw honey
1-2 tablespoon oil

Chocolate Layer-

2 tbsp unrefined raw coconut oil
2 tbsp butter or gheeo
2 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp raw honey

Directions:

1.) Place dried peanuts in a food processor or blender and process peanuts until smooth. (This is a pretty long process.)You might need to scrape down sides and put oil during the process if the mixture seems dry or does not seem to come together.
2.) Take the peanut butter out and mix in salt, coconut oil, and raw honey until well combined.
3.) Take this mixture and spread it out in a small round thaal.
4.) Place the mixture in the freezer.
5.) To make chocolate layer, melt coconut oil and butter/gheeo in a bata over low heat.
6.) Remove from heat and add cocoa and raw honey.
7.) Stir until well incorporated and smooth.
8.) Remove pan with peanut butter from the freezer and pour chocolate over top.
9.) Place back in freezer for about 15 minutes or longer.
10.) Remove pan again from the freezer and cut into bars while it is still soft yet sturdy.

It is best to store these in either fridge or freezer.

If keeping in freezer, it is good to let the bars thaw a bit on countertop for easy cutting and serving.

Also these bars have a very strong coconut smell/flavor to them, so those who don’t like coconut are warned to not make them. smiling smiley But I hope there is no one in that category, because these are quite good. tongue sticking out smiley

Vahegurooo..It's a given ingredient for every gursikh who cooks food, so didn't thought a need to mention it.. smiling smiley

Tegh Kaur bhenjee let the peanut butter mixture sit in the freezer for 10-15 mins. Also these will melt at room temperature since there are no milk solids in the chocolate so it's best to just keep them in fridge/freezer till finished.
