This is what daas heard as well from some singhs who were in sangat of Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh Ji. Khanda on dastaar was a sign that the inner khanda is going on in full swing...

What Gurmukh would openly display a Khanda on his Dastaar to declare that now Naam-Khanda was going on within, with full force? The fact of the matter is that Gursikhs used to (and do) adorn their Dastaars with Khanda and Chakkar, because this is pleasing to Guru Sahib, not to declare that their Naam is going on with full swing or that they have reached a certain spiritual state. So long as a Gursikh is free of Bajjar Kurehits, keeps Guru Sahib's Rehit including Amritvela etc. he or she should wear Khanda and Chakkar etc. when going for Darshan of Guru Sahib or Darbar of Guru Sahib.

The following verses remind of the pure lifestyle of Baba Harnam SIngh Ji. Baba Ji would wake early and do Naam Abhyiaas/Nitnem for many hours. When day broke he would then work in the hot fields of Punjab and while doing so he would jaap naam and recite Gurbani.
When the night fell he would do sodar rehras and jaap naam untill falling alseep . After kirtan sohila he would sleep for a couple of hours and then repeat the schedule. Such is the pure life of Gursikhi. His life provides proof that one can jaap naam while sitting and standing ( working). Baba Ji was a altrustic ( praupakaree singh) He did not jaap naam just for himself or by himself he always did Naam abhyiaas with sangat, and though his sangat many people changed their life around 180 degrees. This is the greatest service one can perform on others.

Veerjio agree with your point. Daas wasn't very clear about the condition that you should only wear the khanda if you have enough naam abhyaas kamai on a daily basis. But yes it makes sense why would someone wear a khanda to display the kamai statement.

But would you agree that the wearing of Khanda and other shastars is only beneficial if we have regular amritvela and naam abhyaas kamai. Daas is poiting to current trend of wearing all kinds of shastars in dumala while waking up at 9AM after staying late night gossiping...

This applies to all Rehit of Khalsa and not only Chakkar and Khanda on Dastaar. Naam and Gurbani are the base of Sikhi jeevan and Rehit and other good deeds that we do, are of any value only if we do Amritvela Naam Abhyaas Kamaaee and Gurbani Paath.
