Night Play

The night has fallen,
the saints load their packs
They ready themselves
with their supplies on their backs

The stars are out,
the dervishes put on their shoes
They will spin to love's rhythm
as the night-game ensues

The sky is drenched,
the players come gather
To capture the rainfall
and captivate their master

Beyond, beggers wait
for their chance to join the play
But only the lucky ones
will get their chance today...

Make it your day
like Hari Chand's Tara Rani
make a run away
run and fall at their doorway

The Saints await your stay
don't wait for another day,
tighten that kamarkasa
and be on your way

The stars are shining
leave now, on the pathway
there's all night to play
with the Sant Mandali today

If only there was a roadway,
a long enough highway
I wouldn't be in dismay,
but sitting in the Sant play...

Bold Tara Rani,
She knew how to play
When the stars came out
The Star Queen went out on her way
Running for the roadway
She spared no backward glance
She couldn't miss the rainfall
She wouldn't lose this chance
Joining with the bhagats
She sang the night away
Gathering up the glistening treasure
For which she'd come to play
And when her game became at stake
The Lord gave her his protection
From her faith, sprung the shoe,
Which saved her from dejection
Oh brother, I am grateful
You've helped this blind-one see
When the stars light up the night
We must hasten to our destiny
Like Tara Rani, we can't waver
This is the only way to play
Take the plunge and find the saints
Don't let the night slip away
The night is for the bhagats
Who spare no backward glance
The night is theirs, the game is won
If they only take the chance

The night did fall
Saints were called
They did the preparations
and joined the celebrations


The stars were out too
Saints looked brighter though
rythm was caught right ahead
none could stop as 7 on clock was said


as the show began
sky went full calm
the rooms got jammed
master couldnt now blamed

beggers decided their own fate
it was never though ever late
These chances should be taken
They all missed the missing faces
thought you would be now tying laces.



The night will now turn to 3 days
Show start againFriday in his praise
dont wait for stars,show will be on in sunlight
stars can sometimes be unseen,sun is always bright
Master should be for sure merciful again
you just have to get ready to take the pain
