This Gurmukh Singh was walking along the canal side with his beloved Gursikh companions. They were doing Simran whilst walking and the Gurmukh Singh came into deep Bairaag and shouted the following pangtee ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਨਹੀ ਡੂਬੈ ਜਲਾ his voice and tone became extremely emotional. Bhai Sahib having such great faith in GurbaNee and being a great Rasseyaa of GurbaNee too. Decided to jump in the canal, he knew that Vaheguru would not let one drown who is coloured in Naam. Just as he was about to jump in the canal his Gursikh Sangees said " No Bhai Sahib, No Bhai Sahib don't jump ! ". Bhai Sahib did not listen one bit, Naam was resounding through his whole self. Bhai Sahib jumped in without drowning, he started doing Naam Abhyass and singing ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਨਹੀ ਡੂਬੈ ਜਲਾ out loud in such love whilst in the canal.
