All girls don't get married the same day

Posted by Kulbir Singh
Countless people seek the refuge of Siri Satguru jee and countless are sitting at the doorstep of Vaheguru jee to get one glimpse of Him but only a fortunate one gets to meet Him. If we read the "So Dar" pauri of Siri Jap jee Sahib, we realize that the whole creation is singing for Vaheguru but only those who are lovable or dear to Vaheguru can really sing his praises, rest are just thinking according to their capability and intelligence:

(Only they can really sing you who are dear to you and such Bhagats who are imbued with your divine love are full of divine-taste (Rasaale). Many others are singing (trying to sing) but they don't appear in my mind, what should Nanak (Guru) meditate.)

These two pankitis come after Siri Guru jee describes all those who are singing Vaheguru jee's praises in their own ways but unless they sing according to Gurmat, none of them are acceptable to Guru Sahib.

Many people come to seek refuge of Guru Sahib and many want to meet Vaheguru but only those on whom Siri Satguru jee does Kirpa, can meet Vaheguru. Presented below is a wonderful Kabit Savaiya of Bhai Gurdaas jee that explains things more clearly.

(Many unmarried girls get together and play but all of them don't get married the same day)

(Many warriors go to the battlefield and get wounded but all of them don't attain martyrdom the same day)

(Many plants reside near the Chandan Tree but all of them don't become like Chandan at the same time)

(Same way, the whole world comes seeking refuge of the Sacred Lotus Feet of the Satguru but only those ones whom Guru Sahib wants, attain the status of Jeevan-Mukat)

The last pankiti is a killer. Duhaayee hai, Traahe Traahe Vaheguru jee, Saanoo Mukat karo jee!!!!!!

It is all in the hands of Satguru jee. Countless come to the Darbar of Guru Sahib but only those ones on whom Satguru is pleased would attain Vaheguru and get emancipated. How do we include ourselves in the fortunate ones?

Bhai Gurdaas ji's Kabits are very meaningful. I love the examples he gives in support of his Gurmat principle.

Bhai Sahib I was wondering in the following pangti

Does ਨਾਈ refer to Darbar Sahib/court or does Naee refer to Praising/sifat?

Also in foruth pauri of Sri Japji Sahib does naee refer to Sri Darbar Sahib/ WaaheGurus court in the pangti

It appears that ਨਾਇ is reffering to Sri Darbar Sahib. Because it appears Guru Ji is saying in the early hours one can hear the loving message from Sri Darbar Sahib?

ਨਾਈ means praise or Vadiaayee. ਨਾਈ in some places in Gurbani also means Vaheguru.

ਸਾਚੁ ਨਾਇ here means his Naam is Sach. ਨਾਇ is a variation of Naam. The Pankiti talks about Vaheguru. He is the Sacha Sahib (True Master), his Naam is Sach, his Language is Love and he is Apaar i.e. one without an ending.
