Scorpion at Bagham

Baba jee was at Bagham. He was fully absorbed in GurbaNee Keertan Seva. The sangat and atmosphere became spellbound with the Kaala of BaNee. A dangerous and big scorpion appeared in the Divan and went up on the back of Baba jee. It roamed there till Keertan came to an end. Some Sikhs, who had seen it cried out." It will sting Baba jee". Baba jee observed , " It will not cause any harm. It has come to hear BaNee and do Namaskaar to Guru Sahib jee." Some time later, it came down and itself and went away.

Muslim Faqir & Naam Surcharged Atmosphere

Baba jee left Kahuta and started on the road to Punchh. About a mile off he sat at a beautiful spring. From this place a distance of 1/2 miles a true Muslim Faqir lived, who use to a lot of Simran and much inclined to spirituality. After Baba jee sat down he soon started Naam Abhyass at the spring, the Faqir having a spiritual jeevan heard the waves of the thunderous Naam Abhyass Dunee which coming from the entire Hillock. The Faqir was astonished and believed that some true devotee of Satguru Nanak Sahib jee must be meditating near about. He yearned to have darshan of such a saint. One the next day, Baba jee went to the spring to do Gurmat Ishnaan, situated near the cottage of the Faqir, who paid respects to him and came to know about the place where he was sitting. The Faqir brought parched grams (nuts) to Baba jee. He took some and observed that this event should not be narrated to anybody. Baba jee use meet with the Faqir every couple days or so. The Faqir could not control himself and one day he told visitors that a True Sikh Saint was sitting near this place and the whole atmosphere was surcharged and resounding with Naam.

Muslim Dacoits

Baba jee narrated a story of his long stay at the cottage in Kanoha. He told that one day 4 Muslim dacoits, with sharp edged weapons in their hands, came in the cottage at about 1am Amritvela and asked him to give to them whatever he had possessed. Baba jee said, " I have this sarbloh pot". The thieves lifted it. Then one of them noticed a brilliant thing on the arm of Baba jee. He enquired what it was. Baba jee replied, " This is the Sarbloh Kara, but I will not part with it. It dearer to me than my life." The dacoits then said, " This is a Faqir of Allah," so saying they quickly departed in shame about who they where about to rob.

Beautiful Saakhis. Sant jee is one of my favourite Gursikhs of all times. Sant jee's Kamaaee and Sewa for Panth was infinite.

No Worry For Body

One Day, Baba jee after doing Gurmat Ishnaan, began Naam Abhyass on the sands of Luni. He did not care for his body even. It was noon time. Bhai Baaj Singh jee came from Thoha Khalsa to meet Baba jee. When he reached there, he was astonished to seem him sitting calmly on the burning hot sand, in deep Samadhi. Drops of perspiration were falling in large numbers on the hot burning sand. Bhai Baaj Singh said Fateh from a long distance. He wanted to sit there, but it was so hot he didn't the courage to stay there. He came back and sat under the tree. In the evening, at the time of Rehras Sahib, Baba jee opened his eyes and exchanged Fateh with Bhai Baaj Singh jee.

Sri Akhand Paath Sahib

One day Bhai Wazir Singh who use to Seva with his Singhni for Baba jee while he was doing intense Abhyaas for long periods of time. There son fell very ill. Bhai Wazir Singh requested Baba jee to started a Akhand Paath Sahib so there son will get better with GurbaNee.

Baba jee didn't give any reply; but followed Bhai Wazir Singh and reached the Gurdwara. After Gupt Ardas, Baba jee sat on tabiaa, after necessary ablutions. Now the person, who had to recite Japjee Sahib, also came. The Sangat had gathered in the Gurdwara. The Akhand Paath Sahib started at 10am . In the most magical and, enchanting and loud piercing voice. Baba Attar Singh jee started the Paath and completed the whole Akhand Paath in one sitting all by himself. The whole paath was done in one wonderful tone which could be heard up to half a mile away. Straight after the Bhog, Baba jee disappeared Bhai Wazir Singh son had fully recovered in good health.

Massive Earthquake 1905

In 1905, a very serious earthquake shook the Northern part of India and caused great damage to property and life. Its main centre was Kangra District. It was early morning Amritvela. The Keertan of Sri Asa Kee Vaar Keertan was going on in full Chardikaala, the whole Gurdwara began to shake very fiercely, Sangat started to rush out, Just Baba jee remained with Sree Guroo Granth Sahib jee. Baba jee was totally lost in the divine colour of Asa Kee Vaar. Bhai Kalyan Singh rushed in hall and requested Baba jee to leave and it is dangerous to stay. But he replied , "Where should I go ? Satguru Granth Sahib jee is here our protector, whom I CANNOT LEAVE. This is Vaheguru himself." He did not leave the place and continued singing Keertan in which he felt amazing rass, the shocks continued but no harm was done.

One day when Baba Attar Singh jee was visiting the city of Hyderabad, in the province of Sind, he happened to pass by the local mental institution. Baba jee expressed a desire to see the mentally sick people who resided in that instituion.

A Singh who was with Baba jee went and asked the person in charge of the hospital if Baba jee could come and visit the patients. The person in charge of the hospital had heard about the greatness of Baba Attar Singh and was therefore more than happy to let this flower of Dhan Guru Nanak Dev jee Maharaj enter and bless that place with his presence.

When Baba jee first went inside the hospital, the patients were making all kinds of noises and doing all sorts of things which any normal person would not do. Baba jee immediately sat down on the floor and began to do kirtan.

As soon as Gurbani began to resound throughout the hospital every single patient came and sat around Baba jee with their eyes closed and their minds completely focused on the shahbad. When Baba jee had finished doing Kirtan he did an ardas to Dhan Dhan Satguru Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj, the king of kings and the saint of saints. At the conclusion of this ardas Baba jee told the man in charge that Sri Guru Nanak Dev jee Maharaj has done his most amazing kirpa and had cured all the patients of all their maladies.

Many doctors who were working at the hospital at the time who had witnessed this event came and examined each patient individually. To their amazement every single patient was completely cured. All of them were subsequently discharged and sent home.
